Naw, Mike's pretty conservative. A bit libertarian-leaning, but conservative.

Hillary Clinton's people say he's a bad guy because he used drugs 20 or 30 years ago.

As for the Aussie elections, I really don't have a clue what happened.

Do you guys have a president AND prime minister that are elected? I know the system is based on England's system, but you've moved beyond the archaic concept of a queen or king (I think).

No, we have a queen. Queen Elizabeth II. I'm not sure how that works, but I'm pretty sure that's the case. We have a prime minister, but not a president, because we're not a republic. I remember there was a referendum in... '97, maybe?, about becoming a republic, but the majority voted against it.

Australia wasn't even its own country until 1901. Before that it was a group of states with no centralised government. I remember hearing something about Australians even used to follow British fashions for a while, which is ridiculous because nobody should want to wear British winter clothes in the middle of an Australian summer.

Here's another good one.

Sorry, I've been away with the family for a bit.
Under Howard I was really scared since they sent the Army into Aboriginal Land, and taking all their Indigenous Land Rights away was basically turning one nation into two.

Seriously, if any Aussies know about Paul Keating, do you think little Johnny has done a Keating?

(aka. Dissapeared off the face of the earth for the next 10 years)

Did he? I never head much about Paul Keating after John Howard was elected, but I assumed it was because of my lack of interest in politics.
