Strangely enough, I got Buddhism.

I'd have thought I would have learned further toward Agnosticism. Guess not.

Actually, Buddha was something of an agnostic himself. His philosophy of religion was basically, if there are any gods out there, they're too high up to care about us miserable human beings anyway, so why bother?

Didn't Buddha also say that the "celestial beings" (as he put it) cannot help humanity out of the struggle of death and rebirth; that they too are locked in the same struggle?

Similar. Maybe I misinterpreted a bit. But the same basic idea is there, that the "gods" either can't or won't help us. We're on our own.

I was also a Taoist, and I may have misinterpretted it too (if I took it again I'd probably change).
I still didn't like this one a whole lot... it was much better than the first one of course, but the quiz made it sound like Christianity is totally blind and there isn't any logic/reason behind it, which I know isn't true.

heh, scientology isnt based on Science, at ALL, just because it has science in its name, doesnt mean it actually has anything to do with it. just like that show HOUSE, just because hes in a show called HOUSE doesnt mean he actually owns a House.

The little spot thing on the map said I had 60% science and 40% faith. I'm not saying that scientology is BASED on science. I'm saying that the test says I have 60% science and 40% faith, which lands me into scientology. Sure, I mainly have a scientific idea of how things are, but I'm in no way a scientologist. I partially believe in God, but I think He only created the two afterlife realms while I'm a little fuzzy on this world. One day, I will say I beleive something and the other I'll say I believe in just the opposite.

Personally, I believe people who believe in science have a bit of atheism in them, but depending on their beliefs (as people are diverse in opinions), they may or may not believe in a religion. It does make sense that we evolved from single-celled organism, but I still ask how I got here and how my parents got here (Not in THAT way, sickos). Basically, how did life come to exist? Did the right combination of chemicals form to create an organism, or was it the work of (a) higher being(s)? So, you can see how I'm split down the middle if at least a little.

Humanism.

I'm so not religious. I'm not an atheist, I'm not an anyting. I don't practice. Oh, I did the whole religious thing back when I was young and impressionable. But a long, slow, spell of poverty and depair cured me of my religion. The poverty and despair bits are over with, but the religion didn't come back. See, it's easy to be religious when you're not poor. Come talk to me when you're living in your car and have no money for gas.

Franklly, very few religious people do not irritate me.

Let me put that another way: If you think questioning authority is a bad thing, I'd like to kick you in the nuts. If you do not display the ability to think for yourself and must rely on what you've been spoon fed, I have no time for you.

Yes, I'm that irritated by religious people.

Mostly, though, I'll just point out what's wrong with your reasoning, attampt to intruduce the concept of logic to you, endure your repeticious insistance that up is down, and try to mock your false religiousity.

And thats for the people I care about, like my mother. The rest of you just make me angry.

No, no I guess not. I can see it's been wielded shut by ignorance and blind unfounded hatred. That can be remedied by, you know, realizing that religion does not equate to "blind subservience to authority" and "not thinking for oneself."

What gets is how you can debate with Didymus and quite a lot of other intelligent , rational, thinking religious people in other threads ... and then can turn around and rant about how religious people are somehow unable to think for themselves ... and not blink once over what you're doing.

Moreover, I'd like to know why you're spewing anti-religious rants on a thread so not suited for it. You didn't even post results about the tests, you just kicked into this absurd mindless ranting.

After reading Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Pascal, DesCartes, Erasmus, Luther, Schaeffer, Lewis, Russell, Nietzche, and Sartre, I'm not so sure I really need you to introduce the concept of logic to me. I think I have a pretty good grasp of it myself. I'm sure any of these guys could do it much more coherently.

I got Atheism on both quizzes. The funny thing is, I don't really consider myself an Atheist. Not an Agnostic, either. But I'm not religious. The thing is, to be an Atheist, I would have to be 100% sure that the other religions are false. However, I do acknowledge that there is a very, very, very-times-100 small chance that they are not. But, since I highly, highly, that whole-times-one-hundred-crap-again highly doubt that they are... I don't know. I guess I do lean towards Atheism.
