Anyways, I don't see a problem with nude art. I don't find it beautiful, but it doesn't offend me or anything. It's too bad that it does offend people, nowadays most children are raised to fear the human body, which isn't a great hing to teach children. The human body isn't something that one should be afraid of, you have one, you know what one looks like, it's just a part of life.

I guess it is a matter of opinion. What some border as art.
i think that the human body can be incredibly beutiful if portrayed well.
I don't understand the problem with nude art.
Its like any other form of art-Many famous artists used Nudity to portray beauty. In modern times nudity is a symbol of sexual desire.

Nudity in art is fine.. It helps to capture the essence of the portrait, if you understand me..

Then again, theres a point where nudity in art turns to pornography.

The line between art and porn has been blured in recent years, but I won't get into that now. Where the line is not blured is the difference between a picture of a woman in the nude bathing in a waterfall that's tastefully done and leaves something to the imagination and a full frontal "Hey look at my naughty bits!" type of picture with the same background. We also have to take into account that even some tastefully done non-pornographic art may feature nudity but not make it an object of lust. It could be used as a metaphor for the artist's insecurities about life and how that makes them feel like they're naked even when in reality they have normal clothes on.

There will be more from me about the flip side to my piece later.

This is a difficult topic because the jury is still out -- and will probably always be out -- on the exact definition of art. Some say art is something pretty that hangs on your wall and doesn't offend Grandma. Others say all human creation is art, including porno, landfills, space stations, forum threads, etc. Still others scoff and say there's not really any such thing as art in the first place.

At that really leaves for this topic is everyone's personal opinions on nudity and representations of nudity. THAT has certainly been interesting...
