Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli prime minister, was on Glenn Beck today. He said that the president of Iran is "preparing another Holocaust". But according to Ahmadinejad, the Holocaust never happened.

Interesting.

Wait, did Ahmadinejad actually say that quote, or was it someone putting words in his mouth?

Anyone who wants Israel "wiped off the map" and in a position like Ahmadinejad's should be taken seriously.

Eh... not surprised at this. Iran is willing to go to any lengths to "prove" the Holocaust not to exist, which only makes people have more solid beliefs in that, IMO. And I think it is funny that the U.N. insults American policy but it leaves the Iranians untouched. Not that American policies are perfect, but Iran is a bit more threatening then a bad policy.

Since when is Iran ignored?

I didn't say it was ignored, just that it was more important than American policy. Kofi Annan however, disagrees.

Yeah, I guess having the blood of 3,000 dead soldiers on your hands, from a war that we should have never started, makes you an upstanding individual.

How stupid of me to think otherwise.

oh, you're right, that's way worse than oppressing your own citizens, letting millions of them starve to death by spending all your country's money on weapons instead of food, and imprisoning, torturing, and executing millions more for daring to speak out against you (Kim Jong-Il); or oppressing women, "disappearing" dissidents, outlawing opposition parties, and plotting genocide (Ahmadinejad).

dude, compared to those guys Bush is Mother Theresa. get some perspective.

I, too, agree that the Iraq War was a mistake. However, when you consider the atrocities committed in those countries, Bush just doesn't compare by a long road.

It's not an important point, but it's worth distinguishing the actions of Ahmadinejad and that of the Supreme Leader. It's Khamenei who's the real ruler of Iran, and it's him and the Guardian Council who are the real oppressive forces in those areas you mentioned.

But where are you getting the "plotting genocide" charge?

If I had to guess, it's probably got something to do with his whole "wanting to wipe Israel off the map" ideas..

Very true. But you gotta admit, someone saying something like that can't be a good thing, regardless of whether or not they're actually planning it.

One thing I don't get: why do anti-Semites deny the Holocaust? You'd think they would endorse it, heh...

Not that I think anybody should do either, of course.

Anti-semites have nothing to do with Hitler or Nazis.
All anti-semites have in common is that they hate Jews.

The reason I'm guessing that the new wave of Holocaust deniers do deny it is because of the sympathy it generates for Jewish people.

Stop being a jerk. You follow a call to get back on topic (toastpaint) by getting back on topic or not posting at all.

So, either post something on topic or stop posting.

Yelt, you are lucky you are on the forum at all. We already have banned you from the wiki and the IRC channels (multiple times). You are on very thin ice, so I would tread softly if I were you.

You know, I'm kinda tired and smelly, and I really don't want to deal with this right about now.

Every one, knock it off, for serious. Get back on the topic, or else ramrod starts deleting posts...

Oh! Thanks Iran! I guess all those people who were martyred for there faith didn't exist.

You know who else didn't exist? Hitler. And Winston Churchill.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that whole "World War II" thing didn't happen either.

Thanks Iran! :)

Wow, Holocaust survivor assaulted by Holocaust denier.

Look, if you don't believe the Holocaust happened, fine. You're insane, but fine.

But don't go around attacking people who don't agree with you.

Oh, come on Lahi, everyone knows that Night is just Zionist propaganda... The truth is, Hitler was rounding up the Jews and sending them to Disney and giving them all puppies, but the Jews wanted sympathy, so they coldly killed their own and blamed it on the Nazis.

Although it should go without saying, I was not serious when I said that thing about Hitler sending the Jews to Disney.

For once, I have to agree with you Lahi. What I don't get is why he would post his name online and proudly boast what he did?
