He does a great job.
With any luck, our country will be run by a Mormon, too (and that's good news, because all we have to do is add one letter to those "Our president is a moron" banners that people have).

Breaking away from the Presidents for a second there, I never knew that Joey was a Mormon. I mean, I thought that he might have been, because for some reason I thought he said he was, but I was never completely positive.

You're for Romney, eh? The Liberofascist in me is sickened. :p

Anyhoo, as for Mormon forumers, there's racerx_is_alive, and I think seamusz. They're not around much.

Rammy: Because he's from Utah. I think it's a Utah state law that you have to be Mormon to live there.

Wrong.

On Joey's site, he says he left the Mormon faith in May 2002.

Joey on his site wrote:
Though I was raised a sixth-generation member and completed a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I left the LDS faith around May 2002 and now consider myself an Evangelical Protestant Christian.

And I do know our user Parlod is LDS.

Hmmmm, that doesn't sound right to me. Only 57% of people in Utah are of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Utah", Wikipedia).

It can be bad, though, if you're not Mormon. My best friend is Pagan, and he had to live in Utah for a brief spell...he said he got many a scornful and haughty look whenever people learned that he wasn't "one of them." No offense to any Mormons here--you guys can't be all bad if you let us debate so freely and openly here, allowing all sides to be presented in any argument! Gah...I can feel my Best Debater nomination draining down the sink now...

Well, if you were wonderin', I'm Mormon or LDS or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's like to tomato, tamatoe...pronounced differently, but were all the same. We have just inherited many different nicknames. Well, I was just wonderin' if there were any here. Thanks! It's cool to know that there are a few. :)

Who could forget Stu? He's an admin here who's a Mormon. Joey Day grew up as a Mormon, but I think he said somewhere that he goes to a Western Baptist church now.

Wait, COLA, are you saying that you don't like Idaho and Utah because Mormons live there? No offense, but that has to be one of the dumbest reasons to not like a place.

No, its just one of the reasons. And Idaho sucks for different reasons.

By saying "one of the reasons", you're being pretty bigoted. We're not going to have that stuff here.

I got nothing against Mormons (I don't know that I agree with them on the things that make them different from other Christians, but that's another story for another day) and I will not allow them to be bad mouthed.

Yes, I am coming down a little heavy handed on something that was probably meant to be a tongue-in-cheek comment, but bigotry is bad.

Well, Jello lives in Utah, and he's agnostic...and if he's any indication, what PMG said is true. As I recall he's really unpopular, because, among other things, he's not Mormon. (Jello, if you see this, can ya tell me if I'm right or not?

I knew Salt Lake City was the Mormon 'capital' and the story about the settlers there, but wow, 62.4% of people there are LDS? And 90% from rural areas? That's a lot.

I've always been curious about something.
What do mormon's believe?
I want to hear from someone who's trully mormon.
I've only heard from non-mormons what they believe.

I think she wants to know what a Mormon's beliefs are from a Mormon, not from a secondary source. (That's how I took it)
