But there are different beliefs about who Jesus actually is. Is he just God's son, or God Himself assuming human form to die a human death in order to save the world from its sins? Or a common human who became divine through living such a holy life?

Well, I'm an atheist, although I still go to a Catholic church every Sunday, because science forbid I tell my mom what of religion, but that's beside the point. I am totally unrestrained for stereotyping Mormons because of that South Park episode. And this video further weirded me out.

Right. But, I think anyone who believes any of those things can be Christian. If they believe salvation is attainable only through Christ, then they are Christian. We all believe in the same Christ. It's just what he did and why, and what he is still doing that we disagree on.

No, that's an actual video made by Mormons. To quote South Park, "This is what [s]Scientologists[/s] Mormons actually believe.

Oh, ok. If South Park said that, then I'm convinced.
Even the person who posted the video you linked to said "This is taken from a propaganda video put out by an extreme group of Jesus fans to denounce the Mormons."

o, didn't see that thar. Gotta check my sauces.

Anyway, I have no problem with Mormons, I might not agree with their beliefs, but they are generally kind people.

Hey guys, fellow member here, and want to give a pat on the back from Pie to start this thread to get the full truth...

And sorry to Lahi for not helping you out in the debate with Didy, but will watch this thread and help sort out anymore questions about us...

BTW: I've seen that certain SP episode, and somethings they said were true, but a lot is more stereotypical anti-mormon stuff

Well, later

Provo gives me the jibblies. For some reason, whenever I go there, I always feel ... judged? It's an odd feeling.

Awesome. I've got friends going to education week too. I thought about going, but decided not too.
And I love Provo, but I'm not sure why. I just love going down there.

Meh. I don't worry what people may be thinking of me. I can't control that, so why worry?

Yeah...ehh...I don't care for Utah either. I was so excited to come back to Oregon

I actually prefer Idaho...then again I'm probably biased because I go to school there. (BYU Idaho baby! ^O^)

But Utah drivers scare the heck outta me o.o They're VICIOUS! :trogdor:

thats one of the Reasons Utah and Idaho blow.

Dude that is a lie. dont be prejidus like that. I live in Utah and I am not morman (though I have nothing against them.) Utah does not blow and neither does Idaho.

And Chad Utah is better than Canada!

Holy cow! Scott Anderson was soooo amazing *.* I went to his Friday class and...wow. We were litterally "blubbering masses" by the time it was over. When I go next year I will definitely be seeing him again
