And yes, Utah driver are freaking scary. Our Priest Quorum went down to Conference the last couple years. Yeah, scary :)
Holy cow! Scott Anderson was soooo amazing *.* I went to his Friday class and...wow. We were litterally "blubbering masses" by the time it was over. When I go next year I will definitely be seeing him again
I wish I was able to go to EW. It's from ages 12 to 18, right?

Well actually it's 14 and up. There are youth classes as well as more adult classes. I'm not sure how old you are but if you ever get the chance, GO! It's amazing. You learn so much

I want to. I don't think I'd get a chance before my mission though. I'll go when I get back. :)

Then we'll all be able to go to E.W together.

Education week is kinda like EFY for adults. It's just a bunch of classes and lectures on different topics, some gospel related, some not, I think you have to be 14 to attend, and there are certain classes geared for the youth, but there are more for adults. It's a good time.

Yeah, only there are no overly hyper EFY leaders and no "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT *HEY!!*" dances/chants whatever you wanna call 'em XD

It's very mellow and spiritual. You have the freedom to choose whatever classes you want and when you want to. I personally prefered it to EFY.

Well, Big Love got fired by House. It was fun while it lasted.

Interesting that he got fired for breaking the rules in a way that House hated because it gave power to Cutty.

Big Love should have had a fight with Kumar before choosing him to get fired so House wouldn't have been suspicious. Think next time!

What does it have to do with Mormons?

Big Love means polygamy, which is what House called Dr. Cole, because he was a Mormon, where polygamy used to be tolerated. Although Dr. Cole is single.

But I like the "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT HEY!!" *CLAP, CLAP, CLAPCLAPCLAP, CLAP, CLAPCLAP, CLAP *Loud Cheering*

EFY also has its tender moments as well. Thursday will be a day I shall never forget. Plus, my counselor just got back from his mission and he wasn't really an overly hyper kinda' counselor. He was...coool.

I'm kinda really late to this thread but my best friend is a Mormon. He can be sorta lame sometimes but for the most part, you wouldn't even be able to tell if you didn't know. Except that he doesn't swear.

What did you guys think of General Conference this year? What were your favorite talks? Any thoughts in general?
I especially liked President Monson's talks this time around. I also really liked Jeffrey R. Holland's talk on how it really is biblically correct to believe in modern revelation. He really hit the nail on the head.

Holland's talk as you say, hit the nail on the head. I was like, thank you. President Monson, most definitely a prophet of God. 'Nuff said.

I think my favorite talk though, out of all the sessions, would have to be the one that Susan W. Tanner gave. It was personal to me. See my favorite scripture is 2 Nephi 2:25. So her talk about being delightful, and nurturing, was just the greatest talk ever in my opinion. I was able to get one important messsage out of every speaker though and that is what brings a smile to my face at the end of it all. They know what I need, when I don't. General Conference is the best!

Also, Christofferson is going to be a great apostle. He spoke with much more power than he has in any of his previous talks. Of course, though, Uchtdorf was an amazing speaker as well. I always enjoy his though.

I'm kinda' ramblin' again, but you get the point. It was the largest dose of awesomeonium evar. As President Monson said at the end of the Sunday Morning Session, a conference that we'll never forget. Tru' 'dat.

^Very yes.

President Monson's closing remarks after the Sunday afternoon session was... touching. That's the best word to use. I think so much more of him now than I ever did, and I always thought very highly of him.

That's exactly the words I was looking for when writing to a friend. I couldn't exactly explain what I wanted to. Touching...how simple.

I think I'll post Elder Holland's talk here when it's available online.

I'm interested in Diddy's take on it.

I don't think Diddy comes around these parts any more. He might be lurking though.

I'm a Mormon/LDS/member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Yeah, it's pretty much one of the best religions around...Anyways, I think me joining pretty much quadrupled the Mormon population on this forum. ;)

Also, I loved Pres. Monson's talk in the priesthood session. Haha, his stories are great...

There really does seem to be a disproportionately large number of Mormons here, but maybe that's just because the mormons are the only ones who talk about their religion on a regular basis, which makes it seem like there're more than there really are.

As for me, I'm Catholic. Original Recipe Christianity, all the way. :eekdance:

Us Mormons are freakishly clean when it comes to our entertainment.

Thus, H*R is right up our alley.

Others may need more swears and vulgarity in their humor to be entertained.
