Watching it right now, and so far, the first part makes sense.

http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

To anyone who has watched it all, who are your opinions on it and the information it provides?

Eh, I've only watched parts of the first part so far, but it seems to provide some fairly solid evidence against Christianity. I don't know, though--I normally don't form opinions on these things because I never really read up further about it.

Heres something that questioned me: If the Bankers prime concern is wealth, what happens when they take over and control the world? Do they get bored and say "now what?"

Then Andrew Jackson rises from the grave and effectively kills the bank system.

Just watched part I. This stuff is really convincing.

In fact, a bit too convincing. If the evidence is this great, why have I never seen so much of it before now? I have a feeling that the information is, in general, true, but taken a bit out of context and twisted for the creators' purposes.

Suppression. Either that, or the translation of the word "Time" (I think...) to "Aeon" has never been brought about.

Part Two pretty much convinced me on the whole 9/11 conspiracy thing. I mean, I've never seen the footage of people on the morning of 9/11 talking about secondary explosions, and the fact of the people who were in the basement at the time... That just really made it all come together for me.

Right now, I keep turning part three over and over in my mind, and I understand it completley, but the only thing I can't understand is why? Why would anyone do this? What would be the purpose of oppressing the whole world and controlling all currency? If the prime directive of bankers is to gain as much wealth for themselves, what would be the point in controlling all of it?

EDIT: Also, check out the sources page.

Wait, so describe the extent that you think it was a conspiracy. Like, "Bush did it" or just that the government failed to take proper action to circumvent it? It's pretty much an accepted fact of history that terrorists from Al-Qaeda did it, and claiming otherwise is just silly.

9/11 was a conspiracy. Osama Bin Laden, through Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) conspired to get 12 weak minded individuals to hijack airliners and fly them into targets, believing they were doing what their religion told them to do.

This movie cracks me up. I'm willing to bet the guys behind it call their tinfoil hats "cranial Faraday cage devices".

Well, yeah, a conspiracy is defined as "a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose", which that would fall under.

I agree with the stuff about Christianity that it says, but this movie is pretty naive and ridiculous for the most part.

All the pagan parallels to Christianity are cool I guess, but I'm getting really sick of the 9/11 conspiracy theory crap. I think the true identity of whoever is responsible for the attacks is completely irrelevant. What matters is dealing with the people who responded to it.

To all of you who saw Zeitgeist and accepted its claims without really examining them, I recommend you watch this short movie.

http://www.herebedragonsmovie.com/

You can watch it all for free online.

Your thoughts?

Mikes was criticizing my post I think and I believe kef was attempting some degree at nerd humor, but as of yet nobody's addressed the actual video so I think it's your call.

What a boring opening to a a movie. I mean, how do they expect to hook the kinds of conspiracy nuts if they start with Mr. Monotone discussing nothing?

Yes I'm sorry to say that there is something called attention span involved.

Yeah but it gets interesting pretty quick. At least it was to me, I dunno.

There's a good book I read back in high school by Carl Sagan that covers the same kinda material, and it's by Carl Sagan. I think the title is "The Demon-Haunted World."

Funny coincidence, the guy in the video actually recommends that book for reading at the end of the film, among other books including The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
