I found a very useful site called OnTheIssues.Org. You can look at the political views of elected American officials and candidates...even their Nolan chart results!

You can also take political quizzes to see where you match up. I'm a Moderate, aka "swing vote". ;)

So far, after looking at this site, I've narrowed down my 2008 Presidential vote to 3 people: Tom Vilsack, Mike Huckabee, and Bill Richardson. They all fit pretty well with my personal views.

I'm really liking Tommy Thompson if he tries a run.

I don't agree with EVERYTHING he agrees with, but in general, he's not too bad. Plus, he's a nice guy in real life.

Brownback seems OK, except I disagree with his voting against adding sexual orientation to the list of hate crimes, and his NO vote for funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. I also don't like his stance on immigration and the fact that he wants to keep our troops in Iraq. I'll put him in the "maybe" pile.

If I vote at all, it'll probably be for either Badnarik or Obama (if he gets the nomination), though neither totally fits my views.

Or maybe I'll vote with the American Technocrat Party... which I may have to found if it doesn't exist.

I totally love Badnarik's stance on gun control. Seriously, those libertarians have it right! :-)

Ironically, that's the one point of his with which I take issue.

But I'll stop so as to not derail the conversation towards gun control.

I got moderate leaning slightly towards liberal on one of them. Pretty accurate. But on another I got moderate leaning slightly towards conservative...not true at all...

Yeah, I got a moderate liberal populist, though on another quiz I received more conservative than liberal. (Lol, contradiction) I see myself as a moderate conservative libertarian, so the quiz pretty much gave me the opposite :?
