Two Presidential Candidate Polls.

I didn't feel like making them again, so go here to vote -

Republican Poll

Democratic Poll

I'm not advertising my community, just would like to know what everyone is thinking. You don't have to join to vote, so vote!! :)

I don't know about you, but I want to see Romney do well.

When I made the poll, she wasn't an official candidate yet. She had her organization and all that, but she hadn't announced it yet.

Hmm... not to be racist or sexist, but I'm not exactly sure this country is ready fir a woman in change, or a dark-skinned person like Obama.

To reiterate, I am not racist or feminist.

Maybe in the near future, but not now.

And again, nothing against women or any other race.

:)

Well we've a white, male president for over 200 years. I don;t think the country itself if ready for the change.

My opinion.

That's a crap reason. If they would be a good president, vote for them. If they win, the country was obviously ready for them.

I'll say the same thing Jello is expressing but in a slightly different way.

First of all, I would never vote for a woman based only on the grounds that she is a woman. I'd consider a woman candidate the same way I'd consider a man candidate: is she qualified for the office, is she able to make good decisions, and do her political views align similarly enough to my own?

However, if the only reason a particular woman is being offered as a candidate is because she is a woman, and the party in question is only hoping to capitalize on the novelty of a woman candidate, I'd likely vote against her.

In other words, gender should not be the primary qualifying characteristic of a candidate.
