Thanks. So basically, conservatives are all close minded idiots who shun anyone who do not fit their description of perfection, and liberals are the cool kids on the block? Wow, I guess I am a total jerk.

I am sorry if that sounded a bit angry, but quite frankly, I think that was out of line. I know plenty of conservatives who are not racist in the least, but at the same time I know liberals who are just as bigoted as the conservative stereotype. There are definitely racist conservatives, but they to me seem the minority. The same goes for liberals.

It's a joke. I'm conservative myself.

That map also shows that the majority of Democrats live in urban areas. With exception of Dallas, Houston(but that's only because of some jerimandering) and Oklahoma City, all the major metropolitan areas are blue.

I live in Illinois. Because of Chicago, it's a blue state, but I live in a red zone. A very red zone, in fact.

I'm purple myself, but much more blue than red. Therefore, I consider myself a moderate Democrat. The conservatives in the area think, without cause, that Democrats are the devil. (I know some wonderful conservatives who are perfectly respectful of our difference in opinion, so I know they're not all like that.) I live in a pretty lower-class village, and they're nearly all Republican. I think the only other Democrat in the entire town is my mom.
