| Post subject: | Bremer blows Bush cover |
Our beloved president George W. Bush was quoted in a new book as saying that when the american army invaded Iraq, that the plan was to keep the army intact, however, (I think it was) through lack of communication it was not gonna happen. L. Paul Bremer however, gave the new york times a leg up, by giving those same publishers of news an exchange of letters. These letters showed however that the top Iraq envoy had notified Bush in advance that the plan was to dismantle Saddam's military and intelligence structures. In sending the letters, Mr. Bremer said that he wanted to refute the things that Mr. Bush said, the suggestion that Mr. Bremer had acted upon this dismantling without the knowledge or agreement of the current white house administration. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/04/washington/04bremer.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper&oref=slogin For more information, click the link. Well, it seems that our president has made an attempt to pull wool over people's eyes, only failing by the rebellion of one trusted worker, he's just making it worse for himself. I mean I say, why not end your presidential term with dignity, I mean I find it amazing that he won the office twice. Blech. |

Buhubs, you might want to pay closer attention to the article. Quote: But the letters, combined with Mr. Bush’s comments, suggest confusion within the administration about what quickly proved to be a decision with explosive repercussions. Quote: The reference from Mr. Bremer’s note to Mr. Bush is limited to one sentence at the end of a lengthy paragraph in a three-page letter.
Basically, what we have is one sentence in a letter, and from that, we are to extrapolate that Bush has instigated some kind of huge cover-up? I'm sorry, Buhubs, but you'll really have to do better than that. |
