I think she purposely avoided anything offensive in the book and concentrated to just writing the story. Token characters would have cluttered things up.
Dumbledore isn't tokenism. Obviously she avoided saying he was gay until now to avoid people freaking out or whatever. So people could just know him as a character while reading the books. So now when she says it, people who have read the books can go "well duh".

It's like one oclock in the morning, and I think I've been repeating myself, so sorry about the post. I'm no good in these topics.

Okay, c'mon kiddies, you gotta admit something is going on.

What is the point of just giving six books to friends and then just auctioning one copy of the book off.

Most books are meant to sell widescale, in the bigger picture, Harry Potter is not even worthy to be squashed by the books who are worthy to be sold at a more private market.

That is kind of weird. Why not publish it wide scale?

Dang, Buhubs. Stop being so mean and hurtful.

In all seriousness, JK is just..I don't know, this here doesn't make any sense to me. Why publish 7 copies of a book, give away six, and sell the seventh? I know the seventh is going for a lot, but she would (I guarantee it) make more off actual sales of the book if she published it publicly than what she'll make at that auction.

Edit by furrykef: Rule 6.

I don't mean to be I just think Rowling is getting a little too big for her britches.
