So, what do you think?

I think when they find the assailants, they should be charged with attempted murder and hate crimes.

Wow... Just wow.

Such open mindedness and tolerance.

Had this student held liberal values, one can only imagine how much news coverage this might have gotten.

Read the story about the double standards. Apparently, death threats are not hate crimes, but drawing penis-like images on the memo boards of gay students is.

If they want to have ANY respect at all, Princeton will fix this crap.

Didn't you know? The left is incapable of hate crimes.

Also, this kid was a white male.

White males only commit hate crimes... unless they're gay.

Intolerance on a college campus is just stupid. Granted, this kid's views might have been seen by some of the "tolerant" crowd as intolerant, but that's no reason to beat him unconscious.

I'm sure if Pallor or Rose were here, they'd be cheering.

I'm still waiting for Hillary Clinton to give a speech explaining why this was all justified.

O noes. God forbid a "young person" in this day and age be a conservative. And get away with it.

Wow. Totally contradicts the left's "no violence" mentality.

What shocks me the most about all this is that this took place at Princeton. Princeton, one of the top 5 schools in the nation. This is a place full of supposedly smart people.

No, it would just be Rosalie, not Pallor.

Even if his views WERE intolerant (and I find them to be so, no matter what anyone says), that's absolutely no reason to beat him up. :/ And no matter how left-wing someone may be, I cannot imagine anyone supporting something like this.

Lol, I can't even find this story anywhere else.

As for the case, ditto everyone else.

Oh really? And exactly what do you even know about his views? The article says only that he subscribed to a view that supported traditional marriage and human sexuality, and does not go into any detail about what he felt toward those who did not hold the same view. If anything, I find your own views somewhat intolerant, on account that, without even careful consideration of what he might have had to say, you tack the old "intolerant" label onto it.

But I think that, at the root of this whole event, is that tendency of people to label others who do not agree with them, rather than trying to discuss differing views and finding some kind of resolution. If anything, it proves to me just how judgmental and hypocritical that some who call themselves "liberals" really are.

Not all, mind you. I was rather impressed at how tolerant most of you were when Somm-1 expressed his own views regarding sexuality.

Fox News hasn't even picked up on this, have they?
It's sort of amazing how quiet everyone's been on this.

I almost think Princeton is trying to PWN us all with a phony news story and it's just not working. I hope that's what's happening, anyway. I'd hate to think every news outlet is missing out on a vicious hate crime (when someone is threatened for political views, said threats are tolerated by authorities when lesser activities against another group net swift action, then that someone is viciously attacked, just for their views, not actions, just views, it's a hate crime).

Believe it or not it doesn't shock me at alll that something like this happened at a place like Princeton. In fact, if I dare risk saying this, I'm almost surprised this hasn't happened already. College campuses are absolute havens for liberal ideologies. Professors have attentive audiences with which to share their believe (and on the odd occasion, indoctrinate them) and who are the students to do anything? Many students today can be afraid to speak out against their prof for fear of failing the class. Needless to say, professors and students alike, the university setting is almost an ideal liberal one in this day and age of ours. This act is absolutely disgusting, not to mention hypocrisy like a dictionary's definition. I hope that this will help snap some people awake at what twisted thinking is going on these days. Tolerance my eye.

Mandy, even though I'm very pro-gay rights, I have to agree with Didy. The student in question isn't known to have done anything intolerant- he was only expressing his views, which you and I happen to disagree with.

I am ashamed, as a liberal, to be associated with the people that attacked this student.

Chalk up another reason why college isn"t for me.

Anyway, it just goes to show how hate crimes like these are hushed, while if the opposite happened, the media would be all up on that.

In before "that's conservatives for you".

Maybe this guy's group needs to kick him out (and up side the head).
