I don't care what the kid did, but he should never get this crap from his own mother. (Major vulgar language throughout, kidlets) Now honestly, I'm pretty sure this kid just needed his mom to ask nicely for the $50, and he would've given it to her. I know this isn't insane, but my mom took some money away from my bank account sometime ago to pay the bills and promises to give back. Now, I was a little mad for her not asking, but I'll let it slide this time. Let's face it; we'd probably would be huddled together for warmth right about now if I didn't let her. I sure would lend my mom money to pay for bills as long as she told me in advance. And she's a woman of her word, too, so I don't have to worry if I'll ever see X dollars again. However, this woman literally yells at her son to hand the card over without reason, then when he calmly refuses gets verbally abused worse than what I have ever heard in my life so far. Honestly. If she had asked nicely, told him the reason and promised to pay him back, I'm sure he would've forked it over (provided it wasn't anything illegal). Unfortunately, many thousands of youths go through this everyday, and it does lead to at least minor psychological problems. But only the very strong-wiled can go through this relatively unscathed. The rest have to suffer the damage forever. Who makes these people parents, anyway? |

The way that kid handled it is what will validate that video in court. And he handled it well. His mom reminds me of a little kid. The way she handled it was totally uncalled for, and she made herself look silly by proving that her son was more intelligent and mature than she was. Also, it made me absolutely sick to see that this video was listed under the category "Comedy". |

But before it was on Ebaum's World, it was a serious video that was probably used in court to get this crazy skank in jail. Ebaum takes the work of other people, remember? That's why it shouldn't be labeled a comedy. |

Yeah, for all we know at this point in time, the video could have been staged. If it wasn't, then I feel sorry for the guy and I'm happy about the way he handled it (though I would have probably thrown the house at the mom on-the-spot). Of course, this video is several years old, so these issues probably don't exist for him anymore. Meh, this just adds to the proof that life isn't really picture-perfect to a great deal of people. |

Doesn't really sound staged. If it were, it wouldn't feel so... real life. Sometimes, speech is unintelligible, it looks like it was recorded on a digital camera, and so forth. But if it were stage, then it'd be a worse joke than the Purge. |

You pretty much described cloverfield.None the less, could be easily faked, especially since the actors didn't have to act visually, just vocally. |

COLA's got a point. And I don't think a kid being yelled at by a psychotic skank of a mother would say something like, "I'll call child services, and you can go [beep] yourself." |
