Is it too late to cross over? You only have to register 30 days in advance... except, of course, maybe you've registered already. Anyways, I heard that there were something like 215,000 Republican crossovers today in Penn (out of about a million total voters), and in Mississippi, 24% of Hilary's votes were from Republicans. Now that's what I call strategery!

Also, if Michigan comes through with this do-over primary, I may get to vote again for the Democrats. They might not let people who already voted in the Republican primary vote again, but I think it would be sweet to have voted twice already so soon after turning 18...

Well yeah, unless they're really rich (Mitt), pretty much runs on donations from people. It's just that Clinton is significantly behind Obama in funds, so she has to beg (even though her victory speeches are pathetic anyways...).

Although it's a sort of diferent racism. It's not as much ('scuse me for saying "darkie") "hey darkie get off my lawn" as it is "haha you're black are you a gangster do you like watermelon". More of "all stereotypes are true" then "my color is perfect".

I don't go there very much anymore. Used to be a regular, though. But this thread really isn't the place to either attack or defend YTMND, really... my point is that humor that plays on racial stereotypes isn't necessarily racist in intent (i.e., it doesn't necessarily intend to spread a message of hatred).

McCain's not a bad guy, I think, but I don't want him to be president. I'm just glad he ended up being the nominee rather than Romney or (shudder) Huckabee, but I'd still rather see a Democrat (any Democrat) win the White House. Actually, of all the possible Republicans, the only better choice they could have made was Chuck Hagel, if he had run. (NOT RON PAUL, WHO IS A PSYCHOPATH) This election is shaping up to be a pretty good one for me and my ilk.

In KY the rolls had to be "set" about a month ago. Also, I don't know if I could cross over. The Kentucky democrats (particularly Guv'ner Steve) are a bunch of clowns. They campaigned on a platform of ethics (which is REALLY funny if you look at their past), education, and health. Then, Guv'ner Stevie gets elected. General Assembly results: a 10% cut for university funding, a 1% pay raise for elementary school teachers (even though, like state workers, they are mandated by law to give teachers a 5% annual raise), cuts to health and social services (and no increase in the cigarette tax), and a rather significant cut to the Justice cabinet's public defenders and public advocates. Yeah, that's some real leadership.

I tend to agree, but with how the popular votes have been causing issues for politicians in the past, if she does go that route, she can still- well I'll just say it's pretty much her only chance. Really though, the whole popular vote thing is kinda ridiculous if you think about it too hard. I'm pulling for Obama, anyway. Maybe that doesn't mean much from someone whose state voted in a dumb wrestler for a governer but hey, I didn't vote for that guy.

I think McCain is fantastic. The fact that Coulter and Limbaugh hate him make him seem that much more desirable. Yesterday in Inez, KY (eastern KY), McCain invited a heckler to the stage, telling her she should use the microphone so people could hear her without her having to scream.
