I had a strange dream the other night. Jesus descended from Heaven in a flying saucer and said that it doesn't matter what you believe in, as long as you believe in it with all your heart. What are your thoughts on this? Personally, I think it's a vision.

I believe you're wrong, and I believe it with all of my heart. Does that make me right and you wrong? Or does your vision make me simultaneously right and wrong? :)

I'm saying this with a smile. The pitfalls of pluralism are subtle but profound. Nothing personal! :ehsteve:

That depends....do you believe in poking babies with pointy sticks and shoving old ladies into the gutter? Cause that stuff just ain't right...Ok...sorry if I've trivialized your dream - I don't mean to...just had to get in a laugh, like always.

I'll say this, as long as people belive in love (love for others, love for self, love for nature) and basic positivity, I have no real beef with you. I am a Christian, but if you are a lover of life, then we will get along just fine!

I've dreamt about Heaven several times. And one of them was sort of a little office with me and this kid I knew. About Heaven? Yes. A vision? I REALLY doubt it. And sometimes you are wondering something and a dream'll put up a fake answer. Happens a lot to me, what with finding many solutions to problems that in real life are false. So your call. Dream on B-)

Is it the same Jesus who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes unto the Father except by me"? Or the one who said, "He who does not believe in me shall be condemned"?

I once had a dream that I died and went to heaven. And when I got up there, there were tons of clocks everywhere. However, all the hands were moving at different rates. Some of the clocks were moving quickly, others weren't moving at all. As I looked closer at the clocks, there were names on them. Some were even of people that I knew. I looked for my clock, but couldn't find it. St. Peter came up to me, and I asked him what was up with the clocks. He told me that the speed with which the hands were moving was in direct proportion to how much that person was sinning. The more sins a person committed, the faster the hands were spinning. I mentioned that I hadn't seen my clock anywhere, and he told me that was because they kept my clock in their main office. I was a little embarrassed, and also pretty darn proud as I said "Is it there because it is an example of how slow a clocks hands can move?" St. Peter shook his head and said, "Our air-conditioning went out a while ago, and we use your clock as a fan."

I suppose this dream could be true in some senses. :)

You're a liar. Jesus wouldn't say that. I don't even believe you had the dream in the first place.

Hey, how about allowing people to display their beliefs. Who are you to critasize (sp?) other people?

I'm going to assume that this is in a joking manner since, well, it's just an absolutely idiotic statement; dreams are whatever your mind makes them, and not what some other person believes.

While El Chupacabra is rather boistrous in his tone, he does have a valid concern. Tiggera does make the claim that this dream should be understood as some sort of divine revelation, and yet it contradicts Jesus' own words, thus undermining Tiggera's credibility. Which is why my reply included Jesus' own words on the subject.

You know, around the time of the Heaven's Gate cult (google it if you are too young or don't remember) I had this strange religious dream that really upset me. I dreamed that the apocalypse occured and I was searching for my family. I found Jesus and asked Him if I could be with them. He replied that that was not possible. Now, do I think this was a "revelation" of sorts? Absolutely not. It was the product of my overactive imagination being very stressed out by a disturbing high-profile current event.

I don't think Tiggera's dream is a relgious revelation to the rest of us, but perhaps it is to her/him. If that makes sense.

A few years ago, I had a dream about the end of the world. It was rather abstract, and involved people flying away at night in carboard boxes, while waiting at a taffic light.
I do not think it was a profetic dream. I don't think your was either, as it it contradicted what Jesus himself said. Have you considered the possablility it was not Jesus, but something else talking to you?
