Satanism

On a flight of whimsy, I searched for Satanism on Google. I try to be very tolarant with religion, but Satanism is just... well, implausable, to say the least. For example, a "Satanic rule" is "XI. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him." That truly scares me. This topic is about Satanism overall: am I an ignorant fool for ignoring the finer points of this, or am I being to lenient on the religion.

well, im not into satanism, cause i want to go to heaven, cause ya know, an eternity is a long time, and ur not gettin out.
im more into the occult and necromancy, its not satan worship, but the occult has alot to do with evil. necromancy is summoning slave demons, unless the demons are stronger than ur auroa. on th count for satanism, i dont like it, but if theyre trying to get me to join them, i destroy them.

Heh. The rules of that site seem pretty good and stuff...all about repect and stuff. That ones kind of a stick in the mud >.>

But I say, As long as no one gets hurt, indiectly or otherwise, People should be able to do or say whatever they want...

Personally, all this "nice Satan" kind of crap scares me more for the souls of a lot of people. I mean, that is what Satan wants you to think. Things like he doesn't exsist, he's semi-peaceful, he's good. Stuff like that scares me. The fact that people buy into that crap is astonishing.

though i dont aggree with what you are saying, i would deffend to the death your right to say it. people who practice occult knowledge know that there is a satan; there is also a lucifer, a leviahthin, and a hades. yes, four rulers of hell, deppending on the hemisphear in which you died. i admit, to know this stuff, you gotta study a satanic bible, yeah, but if ya wanna learn to use it ya gotta study the catholic/christian bible too. so its a ballence of good and evil, and it would take an extreamly powerful man who has studdied occult for most of his life, and has practiced it too, to start an invasion or summon Demons to the physical plane. even if someone could, they'ed probably get possesed or get killed trying to contain it, unless your alister Crowley, or have been tought by crowley; like the famous jimmy page.

yeah, ur prety right. some satanist do fear god, and some of my friends who are satanic, dont like it when i say things like, "ohh god..., thank heaven, or thank god its friday!" it kinda scares them, and when they see a cross in my house, there eyes get big and huge like bubs's.

I love how the religious right make metal bands in to satan whorshippers. They mostly use the names to do this, for instance:

AC/DC- Anti-Christ/Devil's Child
KISS- Knights In Satan's Service
Slayer- Satan Laughs As You Eternally Rot

The thing I was taught about Satan in Hebrew school was that Satan is just an angel that does the work of God, but doesn't always obey. Satan believes in firm punishment no matter what, where God is merciful.

For Satanists, just because they're saying "Satan" in their prayers instead of "God," doesn't mean they should be condemned. They're religion is just geared towards a different belief, like Paganism or Hindu. They're just different. That doesn't make them wrong.

thats true, ohh, and that AC/DC name thing, its not satanic, it means power! like an ac/dc adapter, or plug. just search ebay for theese exact words: AC/DC, and youll be greeeted with a bunch of camera adapters for a few pages, THEN comes some AC/DC merchandise. other than that, that hebrew belif that satin works for god, but doesnt listen sometimes, could be true, maybee i should switch to the hebrew ways?

AC/DC in fact stands for "Alternating Current, Direct Current" like electricity (apparently, they got the name off a vacuum cleaner). And the slash ( / ) is a lightning bolt.

Yes it does. Remember our discussion about the commandment, "You shall have no other gods"? God doesn't want us worshipping falsehood.

As for Satan working for God: the only references to Satan in the Tanak are those in which he acts either as an Accuser (a literal translation of his name) or as a deceiver. In fact, all those old stories like FAUST and THE DEVIL AND DANIEL WEBSTER that portray Satan as a slick lawyer are fairly accurate.

It's IMAGERY, Modest Dude. Think about it like this: God's in charge of the company, but Satan is the head of the legal department who's constantly looking for ways to take over the company for himself.
