As you said, ours is just one of an infinite number of Universes. Some scientists have theorized that a new universe is spawned whenever a possible change can occur. For example, there may be a Universe where President Kennedy was never assassinated, and this is the only difference.
Well, that's better, but still not quite true. If the bullet missed Kennedy, that would have been the only change up until that point. But a change like that would have repercussions. For a start, he would have governed for two more years, if not six. Which would have meant differences in global politics at the time, as well as different dates in all history books. And, as we all know, it could cause even odder differences; meandering cause and effect might cause you not to be born.
So I find it hard to believe that, even if your "new universe for every change" theory is correct, JFK's survival would actually be the
only difference.

I'm not arguing against the possibility of alien life. In topics like this, I like to keep an open mind. But I am pretty sure that modern science has not yet proven the existence of multiple universes yet. Even that's possible, though, just extremely difficult to prove.
Oh no, definitely not proven. Few things in science are proven. As many evolutionists will tell you, "even gravity is just a theory". But it's definitely the leading theory amongst the top scientists of today. I saw this documentary about it on 4. See, apparently (and this is the point where it starts sounding more than a little weird) our universe is a rippling membrane floating around in the eleventh dimension (yes, the eleventh one) with an infinite amount of other universes. And whenever two collide, a new one is formed.
It's called m-theory. I mean, it sounds like nonsense, but then, so does the notion that the planet we walk on is a sphere.
