Catholic mainly, sometimes I'll go to Russian Orthodox church because my grandparents are Russian Orthodox.

I love Russian Orthodox services. They're so cool.

Are you familiar with the music of Arvo Part? He's Russian Orthodox.

I'm Catholic. I don't think other types of christianity are that different. I respect other people's religions.

I'm an Evangelical Lutheran, but I think of myself as a Christian first.

There is a Lutheran church literally 3 doors down the street from me; I have never been inside it before, since the church I go to is non-denominational.

I'm Evangelical Christian. But as to denomination... AGC. That's Associated Gospel Church (of Canada).

I think by now it is known that no religious denomination appeals to me. I have never really believed in this, but it was when my grandfather gave me a bible that I really knew I could not believe in it. The inconcistencies and impossiblilities, as well as certain idiotic measures by the reigning pontiff of the time (for the record: I really did not like JP II. At all), led me to believe that it was merely an ATTEMPT to explain the world, using the tools available at that time. Now we have telescopes, microscopes, particle accelerators, computers that break the 70 terraflop barrier, and whatnot. I believe these tools offer a MUCH better explaination then the theories of men who believed the world will end in a way that Steven Spielberg can never imagine (the stars will fall from the sky, for example. Interesting...).

Thank yer

I beleive some of you know, but I'm LDS (or a Mormon as some would call me). While at the National Scout Jamboree, I faced a lot of religous discrimination. Boys there hated us! I don't seem like a bad person, do I?

Nah, you're not a bad guy, Utard. No Mormon is a bad guy.

We like you here.

That reminds me...I need to look to see if there are signs like the "No Solicitors" signs for front doors that read "No Solicitors nor Religious Witnesses." That could save me from a lot of awkward conversations.

I've noticed that, too. Every LDS (or child of LDS that doesn't believe in it) I've known has had a similar look. It's probably just cuz most of them came from the same ethnically homogenous area and were forced as a group out to Utah, and then there was little new blood for the first few generations.

When I'm religious, I'm Catholic. I don't really have any problems with its philosophy, and in fact I haven't found any other approach to Christianity as convincing. But in Catholic culture there's this heavy sense of guilt that I just couldn't handle anymore, so I'm taking a break for sanity's sake until I can figure out a better way to approach it. And while on break I've come across much more fundamental questions...

You sound a lot like Martin Luther in his younger days.

But as for the guilt, that is why we have Absolution and the Sacraments. Teeg, if you haven't already, click my "We're Onto You" banner.

I've noticed that most users here are either affiliated with a Judeo-Christian religion (assuming Mormonism is Judeo-Christian) or something along the lines of atheism, and others are something in between. It's a cool diversity.

Anyway, I'm Christian and proud of it. :) I respect all religions and try not to be stereotypical.

Don't recall posting here...

I'm a Christian. Episcopalian.

Yeah, I know, we're not the best-known sect. But we're still awesome.

I'm a Christian. I go to an Assemblies of God church.

I don't really like the manner in which we label our beliefs though. Especially when it comes to denomination. As far as I'm concerned, if you follow Jesus on his terms, you're a member of the same church as me ;) .

Greek Orthodox Christianity. I think we're less known than the Episcopalians[sp?] but not sure on that one.

So you don't care if God exists?
Or do you not care that God cannot be proven?
The wikipedia article is a little muddy.

A little from column A and a little from column B.

Don't know... don't care.
