What do you think f the Da Vinci Code? Is it as solid as a rock, or is it as full of lies as a theif's den? Also, do you think it's fiction?

Well, I haven't read it, but this guy claims that not only is it fiction, it's plargiarized fiction. Huh.

It's fiction based on some historical truth, ie. the existence of Freemasons and other secret societies. Other than that, it's just a story. People make waaaaay too much of it.

Clearly you do, or you wouldn't have posted.

Now, it is a good book. It's not "That crap." That much can be agreed upon. (57 weeks at the top of the charts? I think so.)

But I don't think it is meant to be thought of as true. It just presents an interesting what-if scenario. It's not like Dan Brown is trying to get people to abandon their religion because of a story.

I thought it was an absolutely great read, but I don't believe that it was real in any sense (then again, Angels and Demons' particle accelerator apocalypse thing wasn't really believable either).

It's fiction, because it was made to make money.

"It's lies! All lies! or, as they call it in your local bookstore, the fisction section." - Jon Stweart on The Da Vinci Code

I laugh at all the books that are out now "debunking" a work of FICTION. It was never meant to represent the truth.

Actually, the book says quite the oppisite. If you read the "FACT:" page, it pretty much sums it all up.

Also, the "debunk" books are there to go against people who think it's the second Bible.
