I would like everyone to know that this is probablt the most respectful forum I have ever seen. Everyone respects eachothers opinnions and eachother. Other forums I go to, people lash out at eachother and make threats and tell other people their opinions are wrong. Is there anyone else who feels this is a nice forum?

This the best homestar forum, but it isn't the best forum. I've seen better. Not everyone on these forums respects each other views either. So its good, but there are better ones out there.

This is a great forum. No profanity, no one flaming people because they have different opinions, not a lot of spam, and mostly everyone obeys the rules. Another reason is that many other forums have the mods defending other people they like and flaming others who they do not prefer even though they can follow the rules.

I have to say that this is one of the best forums I've ever been on. I mean, when we talk about sensitive subjects in the R&P topic, there aren't too many flames, if any at all.

I'd have to say this is a good forum, though I haven't been to many others. There's no bad language, which is a plus, and spammers are dealt with quickly.

Also, the spirited debates in the R&P board are really something I look forward to. I really enjoy discussing the important topics in one place, and then go and be crazy two clicks away.

So yes, I'd say this is a dang fine forum.

I've definitely never been to a better forum. I mean, I went to a HOSTILE one. I was kicked off after writing my perfectly sensible introductory post. (IN the right thread, mind you.)

Well, duh - of course this is a great forum, and I really mean that in the best way. Obviously, we have our differences of opinion and there are a few troublemakers, but much more often than not this place is very civil (which too often can't be said for a lot of boards/lists I've been on), and there are always A LOT of interesting discussions and games to contribute to. The moderators do a fantastic jorb of keeping things straight, and there are a lot of awesome people here that would be a blast to hang out with offline. What's not to like? :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I'm not sure if this is the right section for this thread though.

It's nice to see people with different views on religion and politics getting along instead of resorting to calling each other Nazis, Communists, Facsists, idiots, (insert any number of swear words here), etc. It's also nice to see that we don't have a lot of people explaining why their philosophy on religion and creationism and whatnot is right and everyone else's theory is wrong. (Especially since there is no solid proof as to whether or not God exists and therefore no reason for someone to go around belittling others for guessing differently.)

I've been to too many other forums where such was not the case. One forum had an 11-page topic about the words "Under God" in the pledge. Most of the community was Christian, but there were three atheists, and they were all at each others' throats the entire 11 pages. Usually on this forum, they drift off topic by page 2, but not on this one. Thank God (or Allah, Buddha, Darwin, whatever) that this forum isn't the same.

Il like this forum. My sister goes to the-n boards which are a lot worse. There are tons of users, people starting threads for private arguments and Post parties, and flame wars about what's punk and what's goth.

Also, the forum fambly here is something I like. Everybody knows each other, and for the most part we're all friends. This place has become more than just a forum about Homestar. The other boards I casually browse never rise above their subject.

Once forums get over 300+ ACTIVE users, they usually drift into hell. ZU is a good example of that :p

Smaller communities where everyone knows each other are better.

Not true, not true. I am on a Rammstein forum that has over 8000 members of which 5000 are active, and it is one of the better forums that I am on.

I definitely have to agree with you guys here. From my experience this might be the best, most civilized I've been on. Flaming is very rare, save certain forum games. Being a big time anti-swearing advocate, it's really nice to see that we don't allow foul language. Everything's good-natured. we dont have tons of peopol spleling rll band and crap and no grammer and puncuation And of course the family element mentioned earlier, from the chat and the forum together we've familiarized with each other. Heck we can even turn some more serious stuff into something light-hearted, such as "leching"- one would think it's creepy to be admired over the internet, but we keep it easy and fun. A lot of this is due to strict modship- after a point you always need higher authority to step in and maintain order, and our mods seem to do that quite well.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Actually, I'm of the opinion that King Nintendodroid is only here to troll the other users with his "kill the religious hooray :) :) :) americans are scum of the earth"-toned posts. And then say "he's seen better" because people don't join in, because even those who are also atheist see him as being provocative without promoting intelligent discussion, only trying to word things in an as offensive as possible manner without breaking the rules.

I've seen his kind before, see. One of the big forums I go to has a duo that acts just like Nintendodroid, doing their best to upset and anger the users without going over the line as far as rules go.

Yeah, that only goes so far with me. If I think that someone is harassing other users or being a jerkbrain in general, I have no problem banning them. Nintendoid's antics aren't being ignored.

If ZU stands for what I think it does, then yes, that place is nuts.

This is a really great forum, with great rules and great mods who enforce them. Swearing really bugs me, so I'm really glad that there's none of that tolerated here. I feel really accepted here, and spend quite a bit of time here due to my lack of friends in the real world. Thanks for making this forum a great place to hang out, guys!

EDIT: And this is the 7777th post in R&P. W00t!

Oh, great! We'll kick butt for the rest of the battle, but then afterward, our hit points will drop to 1.

Of course this is a good forum. I wouldn't be coming back all the time if people were dropping f-bombs left and right. I love this place, and I feel close to most of the members here.

When I first came to this forum, I was shocke that there were no idiots here, going around spamming and flaming. Especially in the R&P forum, where it's so difficult to avoid (I was surprised we were evn allowed to discuss R&P!). I've nevert seen a forum this friendly and well mantained, and I'm glad and quite surprised it's been able to stay that way.

I don't blame them, that;s their job., Otherwise people would sdtart nboticing they can get baway with small things, and do them more often,. Then bigger things, like 2 pixels off. Then bigger, and bigger, untilt the admins forget what their job is.

Roffle. Just... roffle.

This is really the only forum I've ever been on, and it's safe to say that my expectations of forum life have suddenly shot up. Thus, I'm bewildered every time I join a different forum by how jerky the other usertypes are.

Bah. YOU'VE RUINED MY EXPECTATIONS, HRWIKI! CURSE YOU INTERRUPTORJONES!!

...or, not.

Not one goatse or tubgirl pic since I got here. There doesn't even appear to be a Maddox wannabe here like there is on every other forum. It's a miracle.

I love this forum. The last forum I went to was a South Park one full of people who hated me for feeling sorry for Butters. When I'd say I didn't think it was funny how he'd be tortured, a lot of people would say I wasn't a "true" fan (along some inappropriate things that I won't say here). There seems to be some people here who feel sorry for Strong Sad like I do, and at least the ones who like seeing him suffer don't feel the need to insult me for not feeling the same way.
