I'll just say I'm left-liberal and leave it at that for now.

Many people will vote for Bush this election day because they think that he'll do a good job bringing the troops home. Although 51% of American voters said the war was unnessicary sixty something % say that since he started the war they want to see him finish it so that will be a reason they vote for Bush.

Thank you GMA :) .

If by "bringing the troops home" you mean "extending the troops' tours of duty over, and over, and over, and over again," you just might be right.

Democratic. My dad works for this lady. She's running for Arkansas state congress. He writes the speeches. (Press secretary?)

Compass test- 50 Economic, 40 Personal. Centrist, with a small right lean.
0-40 test- 23. Same as above.

Well, I'm tired. I'll get specific in the morning, assuming I remember to.

Interesting. The test says I'm "centrist". However, on the graph my llittle red dot is right on the upper left corner of the centrist square, where I intersect centism, liberalism and libertarianism. In any case, I'm a registered Republican, but I consider myself a "radical moderate". *raises fist in air* Common sense now! Let grown ups run things for once!

I'm actually wandering if the test itself is skewed. I am moderate conservative, but the test put me as a moderate leftist. If that's the case, then what do they consider conservative?

I tried to take the test and answer as if I were actually trying to be conservitive. If your answers favored economic freedom, but implimented "traditional values" and answered less in favor of personal freedom to be immoral, then that would be on the conservitive side.

But I answered it according to the moderate conservative values I hold dear, and end up being a moderate liberal. That's what I don't understand. Although it is possible that my moderate conservativism might be more liberal than I think.

Oh geez. My mixed up political beliefs...
I vote nearly 50-50 democrat republican.
I am not a centrist. I am left on some issues and right on some, I'm not really in between on issues. As far as helping the poor, social security etc. I am very much liberal. I can't stand to see unfortunate people, and I believe that everybody has a right to a full life. I am against war and against most drug usages, as I believe both of them hinder the fulness of life.
On the flipside, but what I believe is the same line of reasoning, I cannot tolerate abortion at all. Since I believe life begins at conception, it really is nothing short of murder to me. That being said, I was nearly aborted, and that may be a reason I follow this belief so strongly. As for homosexuals, I treat them as I do any other individual, I believe they are just as equal as everyone else. As far as marriage goes, I believe that is something for (in the US) the states to decide, as marriage is a state right. I would not support a national ammendment banning it, but I also would not support an ammendment saying it must be allowed in all the states.
All in all, in the end, I am a humanist. I believe all humans deserve equality (though not economically completely. Although everyone deserves the necessities and a few extras, some people worked harder, for example, and deserve a bit more in that regard). I vote around 50-50, and I am registered Republican. Why am I registered that way? In Pennsylvania a liberal Republican can be voted in. A prolife democrat can NOT win, even if he is the better candidate by far (shown by pro life Bob Casey versus Ed Rendell in the primary for governor), and I plan to run eventually.

What are most H*R fans? People. They are not leftists, rightists, etc They are people and I highly doubt that H*R only appeals to one side.

I'm getting Libertarian, but I'm really more in the conservative area.

I'm a socialist, a member of the British Labour Party, but very much on the left of the Labour Party - I'm a member of the Labour Represenation Committee.

I believe in:
- pubic ownership of industry, under the democratic control of workers and service users, and reversing the privatisation of the post, telecoms, rail, buses, NHS etc
- full equality of men/women, straight/gay, black/white, disabled/abled - socially, politically and economically
- against imperialism and war
- for a full welfare state; either work or a living dole
- fully funded and free education, from nursery (kindergarten) to post-graduate level

... and some other socialist things, too.

I prefer the term liberal myself, since liber is Latin for “free.” But since it’s been hijacked, I’ll have to stick with classical liberal.

According to your answers, the political description that fits you best is liberarian. Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

On the graph my little red dot is right on the upper right corner of the centrist square, where I intersect centrism, conservatism, and libertarianism.
I consider myself, however, more like on the far right. I support President Bush, I am a "fundie", radically pro-life, I support the War on Terror and the War in Iraq... hmmm, and I like Charles Johnson better than Arianna Huffington.
