if the parents control they're kids, and raise them properly, nothing bad should happen if they play GTA. really. |

Although the kind of parents who'd buy their 8-year old a game like GTA can't really be trusted to raise their kids properly. I think Rockstar should make whatever games it wants, but game shops need to be more discreet about who they'll sell it to. And if parents come in to buy GTA for their pre-teen, well, if their kids turn out to be psychopaths, it's their own fault. ^^2 cents. |

Well, thats not what the Aus government thinks. San Andreas has been banned in Australia! And I was saving up to get it too! |

I don't really know where I stand on this whole issue. On one hand, it's going to be really super mega hyper violent, and on the other, I'm against censorship. I guess what my main gripe about this is that parents will buy their kids this game because they're so precious and they just wanted it so bad. I hate parents like that. They are too busy to raise the child, so they expect everybody else to do it for them. It takes a villaige to raise a child, but YOU are the parent, and the person who influences a child the most. I feel very strongly about teaching your child right from wrong. I was tought at an early age. When I was 3 years old, I would go down into the basement and play Doom 2 for hours. I never shot anyone or anything. Heck, I've never even fired a gun. I don't play GTA games because I do not care for them. Violence just doesn't suit me. I have a responsibility now to filter myself, and my parents trust me with that. Kids need good judgement on their own. They can't be kept away from the world forever, and when they go out thinking the world is fair, happy, and flower scented, boy, will they be dissappointed. I'm Jello B., I'm 13, and I switched to a Ma- er, wait, that's not right... I'm just angry at how parents won't even question what their kids might be doing. Who knows, that family friendly car-jacking game might not be what you think. Oh, and please use paragraphs on long posts, it just makes it oh so much easier to read. |

Ive played this game through and i have not killed one single person yet. Jack Thompson does not know these things. The guy wanted to ban the game even before it came out. OOPS. That blew up in his face. The only thing he did was get it to not come out on xbox. |

Dewy, COLA, your posts were of less worth than the one that revived the thread. At least Exa24 made a post relating to the topic of the thread. Oh well. It doesn't really matter, this is going to the Land of Locked Threads. |
