hey, i have been hearing alot of weird things and stories that have come from hurricane katrina, but one that i have herd was that when after the hurrican hit, the rescue groups were told by the government to either Shoot Any African American Men, Or Avoid Saving African Americans at all. now i dont belive either of those, but i cant give a good explanation as to why, but the leader of Radical Islam has been saying exactly what i just told you. now, im not racists, im not anything like that, but it seems that Radical Islam is a bunch of parinoid African Americans. now, i only base that on what ther Radical islam leader has said, but i may further what i think later on. now, what are your views on this subject?

I think COLA's referring to the statement made by Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, who said he believed a dam in New Orleans was blown up on purpose to flood the black quarter, and that Katrina had nothing to do with it. Umm, or not - but I've not been able to find a group called "Radical Islam" in any news source.

Anyway, Farrakhan's reaction is what you'd call paranoid. But Newsday made this point that was interesting:

Quote:
When rapper Kanye West said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during a disaster-relief telethon, he spoke for scores of black people. They don't view Bush as a flat-out racist; they just feel the president, like many whites, simply doesn't see black America.
