I've been thinking of this question for quite some time. I think we all fall prey to at least one of these sins during a lifetime, so I've been wondering. Which one of the Seven Deadly Sins most applies to you?
  1. Greed
  2. Gluttony (Greed of food)
  3. Sloth (Laziness)
  4. Lust
  5. Envy (Jealousy)
  6. Vanity (Pride)
  7. Wrath

For me, I think it's Greed. I'm pretty greedy and selfish.

My bad if this should have been in GTKY.

Greed - I'm not all that greedy.

Gluttony (Greed of food) - I eat, but I'm willing to share.

Sloth (Laziness) - Bingo. Most of the time you'll find me being all lazy.

Lust - I dont really understand that one.But apperantly IJ does.

Envy (Jealousy) - I almost put this down. Why, you ask? An emo speech to be saved for later.

Vanity (Pride) - How is this a Sin?

Wrath - No. Just no.

Fellow Sloths, UNITE!!!

Yeah, if there was any other one I would pick, it'd be Sloth.

A lot of people are Sloths and Gluttons these days. Especially in America. :P

Right now, Sloth is in a distant first - laziness and procrastination are absolutely killing me right now. I guess Greed would be second (I'd think it would be in the top 3 for most of us), followed by Lust. Gluttony is one that most definitely does not apply. ;)

For me, it's probably wrath. I can get mad pretty easily sometimes, and I'm not always able to contain it.

Envy, I live in a rich towne, with kids who get whatever they want, I only have a PS2, and I want a DS, all the kids at my school will get it and shove it in my face, scream it at the top of their lungs before class, I don't have my own computer, yeah, not my fault Macs are expensive(but worth it), but shove your better iPod in my face, too.

I know I shouldn't care but my parents believe that my motivation should be grades, or to have no motivation at all, because my parents are greedy and don't see that we get nothing while they buy mopeds instead of heating the house, yes, my dad said exactly that to my face.

I'm not a Christian, but...

Greed --- Well, I am poor...
Gluttony --- I don't eat that much.
Sloth (Laziness) --- I don't exercise, but...
Lust --- ...no.
Envy (Jealousy) --- Well, I am poor...
Vanity (Pride) --- I don't really see how this is a "sin".
Wrath (Anger) --- See Vanity (Pride)

In modern terminology, "arrogance" or "narcissism" would be more appropriate to what is meant by Vanity than pride.

Wrath (Anger) --- See Vanity (Pride)

I agree. Anger is not a sin. It is the "Fight" response to the "Fight or Flight" response in human emotional response to threat, loss, or hurt. I myself am a very angry person. However, it is what you do with anger that can be a problem. Wrath refers to losing one's temper, lashing out, plotting revenge (passive aggressiveness), bitterness (anger repression), and other unhealthy expressions of anger.

Ah, I always assumed it was the "Vengeance!" thing.

If that's the case, then definitely wrath. I have a slow fuse, but when it burns down...

Sloth: Im up all night and sleep until about 3 or so.
Gluttony: see my picture on the "post your pics here whatever" thread.
Lust: Im the original ladies man.

I really abuse these three, but for all the other ones i try to follow the Bible. Especially on the Envy and Greed ones.

Mainly sloth, gluttony coming in close second and wrath comes in third. I'm lazy, always eating(CRISPS!) and have an extremely short fuse.

I'd have to say lust, but sloth is a very close second. I don't really have a problem with any of the other ones.

Yes, but what I went for here was the seven deadly sins that you always see/hear.

My apologies if I was wrong in doing this.

*sighs* Lust... -.-;; Always been a thorn in my side.

Second, I guess, would be sloth. I'm always lazy and need a severe kick in the pants to get anything done, and I wait until the last minute on things, too.

Gluttony...I suppose...would be third.

I procrastinate terribly. I rarely ever finish what I start. I'm often bored but have no desire to do anything about it. Next choice would have to be Wrath.

Lust. I guess. I'm Kinda Pervy.

On the flip side, I think I should make a topic about the 9 Satanic sins* for us** Satanists Round here.

Of those 9, I'd pick #6: Lack of Direction.

Oh, and you guyses that are wondering about whats with Vanty, that site has a simular one that seems pretty descriptive

Quote:
8. Counterproductive Pride—That first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you’ve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I’m sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it.

*Thanks Churchofsatan.com
** I'm not a Satanist, I'm Pastafarin. But those guys are pretty cool.

I'd be Wrath. I get really angry really easily--I've hurt people before.

Definitely a tie between sloth and lust, but I voted lust n the end because I think this is a growing force in my life and I feel like I'm powerless to stop it...
