I personally would go for China, so i could Free Tibet and use my power to influence people off Nukes.
And through the style of Democracy.

I would try to rule Mexico. Mainly so I could clean the place up and try to get rid of the curruption they have there.

I'm not sure what made Karmaism wink, but it reminded me of when the Mexican gov't sent the military against the drug lords and the drug lords paid the military to join them. So now the cartels there have a highly trained army to oppose the gov't with.

You could, but there'd have to be a period of intense civil and economic unrest. Things like that make people desperate for easy solutions. You'd have to give Deutschlanders a purpose, and somebody to blame. Pick a good target, whether it be an ethnicity, a religion, or another country, as long as you can fabricate a good reason for the people to hate them/it. Then, hold massive (and I do mean massive) rallies espousing the glory of the German cause and decrying the aforementioned target. Be sure to practice good body language; nothing says "I don't care" like a slouched posture with hands in the pockets. Lean forward on the podium! Raise a clenched fist and shake it, cursing your enemies! Wave an open hand towards the horizon while proclaiming the beautiful future that awaits Germany! Then, when the crowd is a roaring frenzy, send them to war.

Why? Nuking them would nuke civilians no matter what you say! Nuclear bombs are more powerful then you think I guess. Plus, if you nuked them, the goverment would collapse without anyone in rule, so BAM! You just started a civil war! You'll put up a vote, and someone will win, but who'll listen? It's a whole new government set up by a whole different country!

Me? I would rule Canada, and try to make the money prices go through the roof by having the mint shut down for a week. I'm telling you, it'll be worth more than the pound. Plus, Canada isn't in many wars.

Anyway, I'd probably choose a Baltic state like Latvia. They're on the upswing from the former Soviet pressure, but it's small enough to not cause sleepless nights. I mean, could you imagine having to keep political and social balance over a huge country like America? Not me, thanks.

Let me clear a few things up with you, jerky. There is a slight difference between now and 1933. Then Germany's economy was still reeling from WWI. They were in a very bad way. They were tired, hungry and poor. They were desperate and would believe anything they were told as long it meant improving their situation. That's what Hitler did. He spoke directly to their needs. Now, Germany has a strong, stable economy, one of the best in Europe. The are very happy right now. The will believe what they want. Not to mention, they like their leaders to be fluent in German.

If I could rule a country. I would only rule one that has no interest in war. A place where I would just have to deal with affairs of state. I would most likely take Ireland, Canada or (if I spoke German better)Switzerland.
