Awww, that rascally Venezualan dictator Hugo Chavez is at it again. Apparently it's not enough to insult and vilify America from the comforts of his own home, now he's been given the opportunity to do so in front of Congress on our own ground.

link

And did so yesterday, repeatedly calling President Bush "El Diablo" and saying he (Bush) should be tried for war crimes and genocide.

Today he's in Harlem repeating the same remarks while promising to give free oil to the poor people of New York.

What a wacky guy.

At the same time, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the UN, stressing the fact that Iran's nuclear program is not for the purpose of obtaining a nuclear bomb.

And heck, with a face like this, who can question him?

LOL President Tom..

Seriously, this doesn't make any sense to me. If the US is so evil, why do they come here?

I never understood why we invite people who claim to be our enemies to speak in the US. Perhaps it's an attempt to show them that we are a lot more civil than they claim we are (and are more civil than them). I would love to see Bush v. President Tom (How do you get "Tom" from "Ahmadinejad"?).

Roffle.
The partisan jerk in me says "of course the democrats would say that. They're trying to win votes. Everyone knows they're lying through their teeth on this one.

The unbiased observer in me laughs.

Bwahahahaha.... the hypocrisy! I don't know how Democrats can tell anyone "Don't bash Bush!" with a straight face.

So what if we don't like Bush? That doesn't mean you're unbaised anyways.

Yes well democrats aren't exactly Nazis. The only reason why many of them support Israel is because they're afraid of the Israely lobby. Otherwise they dislike them. So many democrats I know constantly say Israel should disapear (apparently the president of Iran agrees). Democrats also can be great hypocrites. Look at my own ex-presidential candidate senator John Kerry. He says "I want wind farms." When an attempt is made to build one of Cape Cod he says it shouldn't exist because it's "ugly" and "eyesore."

Um.... all I said was that the idea of Democrats being against people insulting Bush is funny.

Not sure where you got the "nazi, anti-semitist" thing from. I have never made those statements.

I'm just tired of people making political parties out as being so black-and-white, period. Not all Democrats want to see Bush get bashed (verbally or physically), just as not all Republicans necessarily totally agree with Bush.

Valid point, PianoMan. I guess when I said "Democrats" I was thinking "the Democrats in Washington who bash Bush non-stop and have no room to be indignant when someone else gets a shot in."

Should've clarified.

Ha! If you think it's ironic that America's enemies shoud pay the Great Satan a visit, then how about former IRA members (i.e. Gerry Adams & Co) becoming members of the British Parlaiment. Aaaaaaah........ it's a whole different world of Ironic over here, you can't imagine.

You mean Glenn Beck?
Yep, he cracks me up. His "THIS IS WORLD WAR 3!!!!" gets on my nerves, but yeah, I love his show. He's probably right about it, but still..
