Tape Leg was pretty bad, but everyone here is bashing Lackey.

Does anyone else sort of see the resemblance between Doreauxgard and Lil' Brudder. Maybe that was some forshadowing for "crying". But they definitely both got that strong one leg, and that dopey expression.

However, Doreauxgard does have a puppet.

What about his hit single "You're Really Ugly (But There's Nobody Cute Around)"?

Not sure what everyones problem is with Car, I think it's a pretty good email. Not great, but certainly not awful.

Monument is probably the worst one I've seen. The Thnikkaman is not funny in any sort of way, and the email is just dull and boring. Also, Best Thing is up there, as it was basically about Limozeen the entire time and wasn't really funny unless you liked the band in the first place.

5 words: Use. Correct. Capitalization. And. Punctuation.

Please.

And one reason I think I didn't like Car so much is because I can barely understand the easter egg.

He's saying "It's such a lovely gathering of pies and pie people. I'd like to give a shout-out to the lemon potato over there."

I think my least favorite would have to be Some Kinda Robot. I give it some credit for being the first, but there's just nothing to it at all other than the 'for good or for awesome' phrase. I think all of my picks for worst e-mails are within the first 20-25 or so (Butt IQ, Homestar Hair, The Basics, Duck Pond, Brianrietta), but after that, I think the ONLY one I dislike overall is Dreamail - I just found most of the whole premise of that one pretty stupid.

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm expected to say Tape Leg for this, and no, that one wasn't too good either, but I think it kinda sorta works in the context of all of its' surrounding e-mails together in a row on the DVD. Plus, at first glance, in the previous e-mail Stand Up, I actually thought it DID look like Strong Bad had tape on his legs following his 'pants falling down / leaving the stage' sequence, and that kinda helped my (misguided) perspective on it.

Yeah, I know that now. But during the first time I watched it I couldn't understand a word he said, and it helped to the bad first impression. Another thing was that my computer didn't update Homestar Runner for three weeks after Flashback was released, and I was new to H*R.com at the time so I didn't know it updated weekly. So when car was released, there were lunch special and hair cut to overshadow it, making it seem even less good.

I think tape-leg is so bad that it's good. I wonder if the question in this email is somehow related to halloweener, where homestar gets duct tape wrapped around his legs as part of his Strong Bad costume.

Call me biased, but..uh.. sb_Email 22. Sorry, but if there is one thing that I cannot stand, it's the stereotype that all British people are posh, stuck-up, snotty snobs.

That's not a stereotype, that's the truth.

Watch it. We have British people on this forum.

I think the worst email was pizzazz. Any mention of ships = inward groan.

Don't say that to my dad. He builds em.
My least liked email is definitely "dreamail." I hated it so much.
I don't even remember it.

Hey dreamail and tape-leg are awesome. I thnk Pizzaz and secret recipes were a little hard to understand and therefore slightly less funny. Everything else is all right

That's because your boyfriend got beat up in it.

It's OK to feel that way, Princess. I hate little animal because The Cheat got kicked in it.

If was going to do things like that, I would hate the email homsar for Homsar getting killed. Although, that email wasn't the best anyway.

Homestar Hair is by far the worst e-mail on the site. Maybe the worst thing on the site. That was the only e-mail I couldn't find anything funny about. Tape-leg was way better, even if it wasn't as funny as some.

Yes! I totally agree here! Every other email had some good ring to it. (Car wasn't that good, but it could have been worst)

Sibbie was kind of stupid to me. It was just The Cheat pulling a prank on Strong Bad, and a crappy one at that. :kot: :poop:

Also, I agree about the Tandy emails except for one; "i love you". It was the origin of the fhqwhgads running gag!

Depressio sucked too :poop:

Uhm- I've laways hated Tape-leg. I bet that's been said a million times before here, but I'll say it anyway.

I also hate Homestar Hair (just- not funny. at all.) and No Loafing (a bit bland for a Compy-era email, in my opinion). And a few others. For the most part, though, I think all the Strong bad emails are awesome. There's just a few duds you have to watch out for...

I'll say a great chunk of the Tandy-era emails weren't particularly funny. Which makes sense, since the feature was new and TBC hadn't really hit their stride.

Exceptions from that era are Halloweener and Trevor the Vampire. Even homsar wasn't particularly funny, and newer folks who don't know that he originated from that email won't understand the point at all.

New emails like Car, Pizzazz, The Bet, and maybe Couch Patch may not be particularly funny, but there's a lot more material than in the older emails that were 30 or 40 seconds long. Not a knock on early emails, but it takes time to figure out what all you can do.

Wow. Some of you have strange tastes in e-mails.

Couch Patch - I loved this one! Why does everyone hate it so much?
Theme Party - But it's just *true*. And funny. Satiring the real world = always a plus in my book.
The Bet - I watch this one over and over due to the hilarity of the KoT.

And what's with all the Tandy e-mails being bad? I mean, there's duck pond, spring cleaning, sisters, guitar, dullard...

Not alkl tandy emails are bad. I lvoe haloweener. "Who wput the ween in haloween? i dunno, probably you, you friken' weirdo" Good ntimes. But what we're sayign is MOST of the Tandy emails weren't great. They just weren't funny. Thoiugh I don't see why soem people don't like "the basics". That one's pretty funny, the way he says it. But let's see, my least favorite email...

Tape leg. I went through the one's that weren';t that great, and this one was the least funny.

I don't want to consider all of the old emails, so the worst modern email is "old comics."
