I think the improvements are definitely good... they fixed the lappys screen at the end when Strong Bad picks it up and the missing toe... added in the cool shocking sounds and fx for compy and tandy being broken... made the gear move... it seems more together.

The only problem I have is... I feel like once it's out, it's out. This would have been just that much better had they made those changes before they released them... it would have been worth the extra wait.

Still. It's better this way. Wonder if next week they'll take off the "Combined" statement on the lappy sbemail menu.

I hope this weeks update isnt just the joining up of two parts of an email, there should at least be another one coming later this week.
or maybe a toon of some sort...

I was kidding, but this e-mail definitely gave me "ending"-ish vibes. I'm sure the Brothers Chaps would explicitly state it if it were ending, though. They could be just taking a break from e-mails, though, or from the site altogether.

I dunno, it seems odd because this fairly "monumental" e-mail came out of nowhere D: New longest one, Compy/Tandy die...

Yeah, I know you were kidding, it's ok :) . I don't think it's a hiatus or anything though...I think the e-mail by Jake just sort of lent *sp?* itself to that sort of a response, you know? (I personally e-mailed strong bad about his sandwitch skills :p )

Good thinking, aiyer. I bet his sandwich skills are freakin' sweet. ;)

I think combining retirement A and B was a good idea - they did a good job of it, too. I'm sure it caused new heights in rigamarole at the Wiki, though.

...Phew, and I thought I was the only one that noticed that.

It was not being able to email Strong Bad at the end that really made me go, "Hhhmmmm..."

Again, though, I'm really doubtful they'll end it. Just kidna gave off those vibes, yanno~?

Yeah, they wouldn't go through all THAT to bring Lappy back just to never use it again. XD

Eh, I still remember when everyone thought Alternate Universe was going to be the last email ever because of the "Save the last email" thing at the end. The email link was probably just left off because of the hushpuppies thing :P

Well, considering I just got around to watching this like, last night, and I didn't have anything to say about it then, I'll post now.
I had to watch it again a couple of times, and now I can say that I am just kinda disappointed.
Not in that way though. It was a GREAT email, and I'm definitely giving it a 10/10. I was just disappointed we aren't going to see a new computer on Strong Bad's desk.

Are you new to Homestar Runner? These guys have been known to take over a month off in the past. We're probably lucky just to get this considering they made the two seperate e-mails last week.

My money's on them retiring it. At least, semi-retiring it. The only reason I would think otherwise is that they only recently started Podcasting it. It's difficult to keep something like this going ... especially when there are only two writers. Perhaps they'll allow a Save the E-Mail Foundation like http://www.grudge-match.com/History/index.html did with the Save the Grudge Foundation.

I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't expect regular updates on the site.

I think you're nuts!! They are not showing signs of slowing down their normal haphazard pace. I would bet that you aren't going to see something major come out now because they are working on a great Holloween toon... you'll see

Eh, we're always getting these doomsayers, predicting the end of all Homestar cartoons. I'm sure the Chaps will actually say something if they ever want to retire from this thing.

Oh, I'm not missing anything. I'm still checking the site. But, if I had to bet, I'd bet they're retired from SB e-mails.

I don't think they're stopping now.

I think they're taking a week off to taunt all the people who think they're stopping. :P

I liked the way Strong Bad looked when saying, "My computer's been lappy-napped!" This has got to be the first time we see his eyes in a worried expression. I think it would be great if TBC made his face based on how he would feel in the future toons, don't you?

If by they you mean Tandy and Compy, I whole heartedly agree.

Perhaps they're taking some time off to work on the Halloween toon? It is, after all, in two weeks' time. Perhaps it needs some sorting out, is all.

I must say, I preferred these emails seperate. It bothers me that the level of quality is grossly out of sync. Part B had much funnier bits more often than part A, in my opinion, and I don't like having to watch the first part to see the second.

WOW!!!!

This email was so epic! It was so long. Every time I thought it was about to be over, it just kept hitting me with MORE AWESOMENESS! Two old computers holding the new computer for ransom? That's...that's genius. That's what that is. I think this might be my second favorite email. Modeling is still my favorite. Oh yeah. ;)
