I really don't care what happens with the DNA evidence. Just some running gag that's been going on for consecutive SBEmails.

Why? It's not like its playing a big part in them or anything, its just a way to introduce characters to show that they weren't just standing around waiting for whatever is gonna happen to them to happen. its like...

I just figured it out!!!

It's a part of april fools!!! Don't you see, they've been leading up to it in the sbmails for weeks, and then, to avoid having to answer the 1000 "wut's teh DNA about" emails, they threw in two shorts for fillers!! Come Monday, we'll finally know what the DNA evidence is (maybe an April Fools Day Toon!!)

I think that the reason we haven't had a sbemail in 3 weeks is because they're making a nice e-mail for this coming week having to do with the DNA evidence. Concerning a theory, I think it might have to do with Biscuit Dough Hands Man.

-When he's first introduced in Strong Bad in Jail cartoon, Marzipan mentions to HR that crime was on the rise, etc.
-Then, in e-mail pizzaz, biscuitdoughhandsman shows up in an easter egg when clicking on the word "secret". Notice that in the easter egg, it goes to the intro of SB's interview program, and that if SB interviewed him, he must know him.
-Finally, in the e-mail myths&legends, at the end is says "Join us next week when we examine startling new evidence in the Biscuitdoughhandsman conspiracy".

Perhaps SB was still sore about being thrown in jail, and he assumed the role of biscuitdoughhandsman in some plot to get back at Strong Sad and HR for being thrown in jail.

DNA evidence has shown up again now in #169, but in the work/office setting. I'm guessing it's not leading up to anything.

Yup. I think it's definatly leading up to something in #173. I don't think it was originally intended to, but TBC went with it.

I dunno. Maybe TBC are just gonna go with it for a while in their version of, I don't know how to describe it, but where every movie in a series or made by a certain director makes a reference to something, and it's a challenge to fans to see if they can find it.

Yes. Very yes.
Even if it wasn't originally, it is now.
And if TBC do read this forum, and I know they do, they should make it lead up to something anyway so that there isn't this big anti climax. But, true TBC style they will make it something no one expects.
They will make sure it's nothing we suggest, so if you have a theory and want it to be true, maybe you shouldn't post every little detail, because then they won't do it.

It seems Homestar is having a tough time finding the DNA evidence. He seems pretty exhausted and dejected (and deep in thought) about it in Rough Copy.

I certainly hope it leads to something. I think it is a decent running gag, but I don't want them to kill it. Plus, I see it as kind of a mocking homage to CSI, something that has been long overdue to be poked at. (I mean, the number forensic science and forensic psychology majors has grown exponentially since those shows came about... proves people watch too much TV.)

Well, here we have it kids. One of the easter eggs in email 173 has Homestar sitting in the dark, sighing, and then saying "DNA evidence". Lets see if it continues as a gag.

I think I've changed my mind, I don't think its leading up, but I think TBC actually do check the forum.

That wasn't 173, that was 170....

I hope it's leading up to something. If it's not, I'll be upset. Preferably #173, but maybe something else. Maybe they'll just keep it going forever, but that's very unlikely. I honestly don't know and I doubt that TBC know either.

I think after 172, they're going to tease us with shorts/toons/tgs/cc/other. However, everybody has to promise they will mention both the paper and the DNA evidence in the email they send for 173.

So either the paper willdie and be replaced or his replacement will die and they'll stick with the paper.

Random thought: Could TBC just be leading us on by putting "DNA evidence" in all of the emails just to see what kind of crazy stuff we come up with?
