"Invisibility". I was in my classroom on track and field day because some of us had no more events so we were looking for something to do... and I was watching these people using the computer, and they were watching e-mails, and that was the one I saw them looking at. But I got bored and left halfway into it.

Island. My older brother showed it to me, and I was laughing at the end with the Football helmets.

I think the first one I ever saw was sb_email22. I didn't have any idea what it meant, and I didn't know about the easter eggs. Then I watched the dvds and A Jorb Well Done. I loved the site, except for the annoying "Everybody"! song.

:ehsteve:

I was introduced just after the 100th e-mail came out. That was the third e-mail I saw (I think). I saw 'I love you' first, then the 'everybody to the limit' song then 'flag day' and 'flashback. At first I thought the site was only kind of funny, but it grows on you like mould on a stale piece of bread.

When I got started, "big white face" was a newer one. My friend showed me the funniest emails, such as dragon, japanese cartoon, 50 emails, invisible and gimmicks. Not in that order, mind you.

Dragon. My cousin e-mailed it to me. I think I saw spring cleaning as well, but I think I closed it after a couple seconds.

I started at the beginning because I'm not very imaginative, but I know I did start on the emails near the end of the Tandy 400 era. (I think after the computer had blown up but before it was chucked out entirely). I'm not on a computer where I can read the list so I can see approximately where I might've been when I started reading them, though. (Extremely slow public computer terminal right now.) Sad.

Even though it wasn't very long ago, I don't remember. I do remember that I went to the character pages first, and fell in love watching them. I didn't know about that "first time" video till much later.
I actually knew about the site for a while before going there. I had seen the updates on Fark.com. I wanted to see it early, but I had no speakers. Now, I'm obsessed, as you can plainly see.

I think it was autobiography, and then I stopped watching for a while. Then, I found out again from this IRC chatroom (They linked to english paper), and been a fan ever since.

Dragon. My sister led me to this site, and she showed me (in order:) Dragon, funny, Japanese cartoon, and stunt double. Then I saw the rest.

As I've poked around the Wiki more, I know for sure now that I first came during the end of the Tandy 400 era, as the first Email Rap I remember hearing is "Scroll buttons? You guys OK?"

"Japanese cartoon" I'll tell ya. And it was funny despite the fact that I had absolutely no idea of who the guy was. But it took me a while to become a regular visiter.

I discovered Strong Bad in May, but I made up for my relatively late arrival with thoroughness. I discovered it by seeing my younger brother watching "current status." I continued watching through "japanese cartoon." But the next week I simultaneously got my own apartment and a cable internet connection, so you can imagine that I spent more time watching HR than unpacking! Of course at first I thought "Toons" was where the important stuff would be, and went through those chronologically, starting with Yello-Dello and the King of Town. I tell you what--not a promising beginning. Any less determined investigator would have been scared off by that, but I proceeded through the "Big Toons," and then began with the sbemails. I started at the very bottom and worked my way through to the very top. And you know what? That's the way to experience sbemails. En masse, each for the first time. Somehow they're funnier seen in immediate succession than waiting a week between each one. I almost wish I could take a sabatical from watching them, so then I could get like a year's worth in one sitting. (Such a thing would of course be impossible, though.)
So yeah, by late July I had seen everything there was to see on the entire HR site. In August I discovered the HR wiki and went through watching easter eggs I had missed. And finally there was nothing left but to plunge into the HRwiki community! (Maybe it's really more of a support group for those with serious HR addictions?)

Sibbie. I knew about homestarrunner about four months until I found out about the e-mails. Funny, I really wasn't searching that well for it if I couldn't find it. I watch sibbie every day because it still cracks me up.

The first email I saw was (entitled) funny. Back then, I thought the new emails were at the bottom of the list. Therefore, I thought suntan was the first email and some kinda robot was the latest one. When anything was released, I learned that the new emails go at the top of the list. The old email menu where Coach Z says "If you're trying to fade me then you must smoke crack" reminds me of when I first visited.

The first one I saw was couch patch. I didn't appreciate all the humour though since I didn't know who Coach z was. I just thought: "Who is that hidden guy?".

Helium or Japanese Cartoon. I could make no sense out of Helium, but I could understand Japanese Cartoon. The newest was Mile, at the time. Last Halloween (and a few days before that), a friend was over for Halloween and kept showing us all these SB Emails.

I first found the site in a link on IGN's Metroid Board, when a user said he couldn't beat 'Craig' in about February. The problem was that the boss was actually a three-eyed, spiked lizard called Kraid. Of course, people started commenting that Kraid wasn't exactly a fierce name. Someone, as you would guess, responded, "Yeah, now a name like Trogdor the Burninator, that's majesty!" With that, they posted a link to Dragon, which I watched, and I was entertained by Strong Bad's two attempts to draw a dragon. That's where it all began.

Pom Pom was the first one I remember seeing, after coming back to HR, but the first one I think I saw was depressio.

For a minute there I was getting worried that "sibbie" was no one's first email. Don't ask me why I was worried, but I'm strange that way.

Anyshoe, "sibbie" was my first email, as a friend of mine told me about it. From then, I was hook-ed.
