I liked it. The Lappy could make some interesting new e-mails with it's portability. Da Huuuuuuuuudge cracked me up.

I have to say, I rather like the look of the Lappy. Change is always appreciated, and the Compy had had a good run.

As for the email itself, the creation of the animals was up to the Chaps' usual standard (interesting use of Powered by The Cheat in the fanglyfish section), but the real highlights of the email were Strong Bad dissing The Cheat and the Lappy's introduction to The Paper ("He lets me know when I've stopped being funny!" Classic). Also, The Paper apparently has an assigned gender now.

Oh, and I adored the music at the dance club. :)

All in all, a fine introduction for the Lappy. The 386's first appearance is lacklustre by comparison. ;)

I put an animated gif of Monstrosity at http://www.angelfire.com/tv/tankor/monstrosity.gif (Copy and paste the link, if you just click on the link, angelfire puts up the stupid roadblock picture)
I agreee with MikeT61 about "the times". I also found this,

Quote:
"Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?"
and

Quote:
"Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power."

If Homestar has read any prophecy, then seeing a beast that was a jumble of many animals would probably make him think of "the times"

Quote:
"Revelation 9:7-12 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
 12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter."

I was watching 119 again and I SWEAR my mouse pointer changed to a hand (link) as I was running it over Sterrance...twice. I can't find it again, but TBC may have one more in there. Can anyone confirm, or am I insane?

Something I noticed:

"Sterrance is way cuter than that stupid ugly old washed-up The Cheat I used to have." ~ SB

Doesn't that imply that The Cheat is actually SB's pet?! Did I miss something somewhere alone the line?

The toons have always flip-flopped between The Cheat being his own "person" and being Strong Bad's pet. Nothing to see here, move along.

Wai! This one is going to bug me and my already broken brain!

Couldn't The Cheat in theory be both?

Well. There's not much to say about this, except that if this email wasn't like a milestone, what with the lappy and all that, it wouldn't be that remarkable. It would just fade into oblivion. I did like the "do you have the times" comment. That was cool. And the lappy is pretty much as good as my laptop I never use...

I sorta get a weird feeling watching the Tandy e-mails now. What's weird is that I got a laptopon Thanksgiving as a gift, and Strong Bad got his laptop the sunday/monday after.

Interesting to note that in "invisiblity," it was revealed that the printer is female.

...what? He said that the "Lappy 486 is hardly high-tech." You should probably read things more carefully.

SB admitted that he didnt like new computers. How could he think an OLD computer could have enough HD anyway?

HD means "Hard drive". All computer (including old) have hard drives--it's not a new thing.

First off, this is flatly wrong. A lot of old computers didn't have hard drives (but you're probably not going to find a 486 computer without a hard drive). Even old PCs didn't have hard drives, though you probably won't find a PC without a hard drive with anything newer than a 286.

Second off, Billybob didn't suggest that the computer wouldn't have a hard drive; he suggested that the hard drive wouldn't have enough space. Now you're the one misreading things, thefreakyblueman ;)

Oy. My mistake.
Anyway, this definitely was one of the better emails, but in the same way that 'dragon' is. Bringing about new things (especially a new compy) is usually something that adds another 10 points to something (though not really the case in 'invisibility').

This email has got to be one of the best in a while. Well, virus was cool, but you get what I mean. Once in a while, there is this one email that you just want to watch over and over again. But I'm getting off track here.

I like this email. A lot. The Lappy was cool, and the Monstrosity Strong Bad made me laugh so much. My sides hurted just watching it frothing at the mouth. The huuuuuuudge was wierd, and I didn't really find the other ones that funny (except for maybe the Pardack). And Sterence was adorable. I want one too (some day!). All in all, a great email.

p.s. Just a side note. Apperently, Strong Bad doesn't know the difference between horns and antlers. The Monstrosity Strong Bad has antlers and not horns. Antlers branch off, while horns do not.
Eg: montain goat = horns, cariboo = antlers

Actually I find the new lappy to look like an IBM L40SX, which is quite similar. No mouse. Battery life of about 5 minutes (then again this thing has been charged up and down many times) floppy only, but its only monochrome, and has a 80 megabyte hd.

Hey - I tried searching for this but didn't find it, so if someone else already figured this out, then I'm sorry! But did you guy notice on the Lappy menu if you hold your pointer over the screen of the Lappy and click, it makes an image like when you touch an actual laptop's screen? Cool, huh?

You're not the only one to notice it. It looks like Tucker was one to point it out and it's on the wiki.
