Overrated: Long Pants. I still liked this one okay, and Homestar freaking out is always welcome (as is the 'you're not a broom?' Easter egg) but I found it to be a little lacking in entertainment value to understand why a lot of people think it's the best E-mail of the Lappy era. For my money it's really not that much better, if at all, than Best Thing, which seemed to get scorned a lot by comparison.

Underrated: Maybe I haven't read this frum enough, but I don't usually see One Step Ahead getting ranked as one of the very best e-mails (like top 10 or 15), which I personally believe it to be. A creative Strong Sad-related twist on the Choose Your Own Adventure series - how can anyone NOT find that comic gold? Plus, IMO it was the first REALLY excellent e-mail the brothers ever made, setting the stage for many more to come.

Overrated: flashback, only because at the time it was a let-down after much anticipation (I do like it a lot though). And sibbie wasn't as funny to me as it was for some folks. It seemed like it was trying too hard to use music for comic effect...I dunno.

Underrated: action figure. Even if everybody likes it, it's underrated. I love it. Also, I enjoyed theme party because of Strong Bad's particularly high level of sarcasm. I don't know why people dislike it (maybe because they don't pick up on the sarcasm?).

I mentioned this somewhere else, but is it possible that the question in tape-leg is referring to halloweener (where Homestar has tape around his legs as part of his Strong Bad costume)? If this is the case, then tape-leg at least has some inside-joke comedic value.

Overated: Caffiene - that wasn't THAT funny. Certainly not the best email of all time funny.

Underated: Best thing- that was much funnier than most people make it out to be.

IMO dragon isn't overated simply because it isn't rated that high.

Overated:
- Dragon. It's catchy and all, but it's defenitely not the best
- Sisters: It was OK, but I'm not sure how it got so popular, as it's not miuch funnier than any other Tandy's

Underated:
- Lures and jigs: I really like that one for some reason, but it seems to onl;y be OK for soem people, so it's tossed aside.
- Stupid stuff: I liked that one, especially the cheatcakes, but it also seems to be tossed aside.
- Car: So many people dislike this one, and it's not great, but it's not as bad as some of those Tandy emails.

-Japanese Cartoon. Sure, it started a series, but after 3 watches, I was like, 'blah'.

Underrated:

-helium. I love it, it's just too good.

Overrated: Army. *puts up flame shield* Army was a good e-mail, and funny on further watches. But the top 5? Come now. Top 20, maybe.

Underrated: I always liked local news. It's funny and a great parody of news. "THE WORLD IN CRISIS! ...More on that later." And who can't love SkyCheat Traffic?

Gotta love that. It's one of my favorite emails, truthfully. I like the grammar songs too. :)

Overrated: Caffeine. It was funny, don't get me wrong, and I loved Strong Sad slapping around the Coach, but it wasn't all that great to me.

Underrated: I don't think I've seen it mentioned...interview. Even though the line was never spoken by Homsar personally, this email DID spawn the "Raised by a cup of coffee" shirt. *waits impatiently for it to come off of hiatus*

Overrated: Virus. I know it's a great email, but it seems like it's the only one some people have ever seen. This forum is where the true fans lie. Those people are different. And lame. And differently lame.

Underrated: Best Things. In my oppinion, that was one of the funniest emails, and is deffinitely on my top several. Great toon, but people dont give it a chance.

Overrated: Rock Opera. It's good, and fun to try and pinpoint all the instances in which the words are used, but there've been better musical emails.

Underrated: Pom Pom. I don't know, nobody seems to talk about it too much. Then again, I don't post here that much, so I don't know. It's pretty funny though, namely because of the immortal line "It had to be done in the name of science--or more precisely, because some kid emailed me and told me to." Classic.

I do agree that Trevor the Vampire was really good though. The first time I saw it, I nearly died laughing.

Overrated: Caffeine! Man, I thought this was the absolute weakest email in quite a while, but everyone here seems to adore it. I don't get it, I think part of my problem is that Strong Sad's caffeinated dialogue isn't NEARLY as rapidfire as it could have been.

Underrated: Animal had me almost crying with laughter and it didn't do well in the votes. I also think Hairstyle is one of the funniest on the site.

I also didn't think Best Thing was as bad as what a lot of people claimed it was. It had potential and could've been better, but it wasn't that bad.

I absolutely loved Best Thing.

I think the problem people had with it was that it's subtle. The jokes don't come flying out of the screen with loud funny voices neon arrows pointed at them. Things like the manager repeatedly saying "I've got some bad news boys" or the theme song were just hilarious, to me, but they didn't come flying out at you like in other toons.

Yeah, it was more subtle, but as long as you get it, it's pretty funny. And I got it.

And helium is freaking awesome.
:sm: THIS IS MY FUNNY VOICE! THIS IS MY FUNNY VOOOOOOOOOOICE!
:hr: The Cheat is one fine-looking young man! That is an ugly boid!

Most underated: For me, it's Caffeine. That one was so funny, and yet nothing has been done to replicate any jokes from there. That one also marks a landstone in the very first time that Strong Mad has actually said a coherant serious question, which makes it all the more funny. But no jokes from Caffeine since then. Not even wood-davers. Surely TBC could mention some wood-davers in another cartoon!

Woah! - Yes! Caffine is deffinately a strong favourite of mine. It's unbelievably random, you get to see some devious scheming by SB and watch SS crack. It deserves so much more credit, 3 gold stars and Tillie's Seal of Aproval are in order.
Though just re-watching any of them is garenteed to bring back memories and revoke another wild laugh... So awesome..

Last I checked, Boring (Really) had a big throwback to Caffeine.

But I still can't figure out the humor! It's killin' me, it was up for the best email on the boards after all of those smaller polls, and here I am thinking it's one of the worst. Arrrgh.

Yeah, I didn't care a lot for boring (really). I guess that's why they put the "really" there in parantheses. It had some funny lines like "I remember learning that in school" but it was... dull. I guess it was supposed to be, but... they didn't have to make it that dull, did they?
