That was a good 'un. Seeing Strong Bad getting worked up about his age and going to extremes (or should I say X-tremes) to capture the youth market was pretty funny.

Good points: The Cheat's "Youth Through Editing", the garage full of unsold eStrong Vague Online Investments, Marzipan's amusingly out-of-place landscaping advice, Strong Sad's scene with the jibbly-inducing post-"lace lift" Strong Bad

Not-so-good points: Could've done more with the Homestar and Homsar scene. And like I said, Strong Bad's lace lift gives me (and everyone else, it seems) the jibblies. :eekdance:

I have to say, one of my favorite little things from this SBEmail is definitely the "iTems." That was really unexpectedly clever. I loved it, no matter how short it was!

This one was clever, but I feel like it ended before it was really over.

I spit hot tea all over my monitor when I saw Strong Bad's mask/face lift. :[

This is definitely one of my favourite emails now. It's just blatant love.

I also really liked the Strong Bad/Strong Sad conversation. I watched this email about five times already... It's still hilarious every time I watch it.

Off to watch it again. And again...

Man, this could be it the Top Ten Best SBEmails. It had a whole lot of great moments. The mention of Gogurt, the Apple reference, Homsar being called Homestar by H*R himself, and of course the final scene with Strong Sad.

Total 10/10.

Yeah, Strong Bad didn't know when to puke or have a seizure when he saw The Cheat's idea, but I didn't know whether to puke or have a seizure when I saw his "face lift". -jibblie-

This email really freaked me out, but it was pretty funny. XD I see Strong Sad's really enjoying this chance to make fun of him. ^_^

Oh, and the iTems was pretty funny. XD

wow, best email this year! I loved every seccond of it, but it could have been a bit longer so, 4/5. Also does anyone else think that the way strong bad pronounces bohemiath is a reference to reservoir dogs? Click the giant link to see what I mean

Like everyone else, the lace-lift gave me the jibblies as well, and it seems to be part of a larger trend of freaky disturbing images in recent emails. The freakishly regrown SBhead and body from "disconnected," the freak show from "retirement"...Strong Bad taking off his face in "the chair" bears mention too, I suppose, and possibly the Poopsmith's gross-out trading cards from "trading cards." I guess it's not as frequent as I thought it was, but the presence of these things at all does mark a turn towards more disturbing content, in my estimation. Does it remind anyone else of Invader Zim?

That said, this email had some pretty funny moments, like just about everything connected with the iTems ("Hey Homestar..."), and Bubs' "GOO[s]BA[/s]D ideas" folder. I liked Strong Mad's megajug of coffee.

First of all, may I simply say, DeathbyChiasmus, your username ROCKS. And I'm such an English nerd, I actually know what a chiasmus is. And yes, some things in the recent SBEmails have been on the disturbing side. But at least SB's lacelift here was mildly funny, while SB trying to take off his face in "the chair" just scared the bejeebus out of me. O.o

First post. ever.

Anyone else wonder why he waddles when he gets his lacelift? I'm curious to know if the laces somehow go all the *down*.

The whole corporate theme that's being woven in is what's catching my eye: Greater Strongbadia as a PR machine for the Baddest Brother Strong -- or at least "those he hates the least" from Greater Strongbadia; with Marzipan thrown in for "legal"(??) reasons. What in the WORLD did SB *do* to her? Divorce?

We only get to see the business side of SB on occasion, making third quarter estimate spread sheets and whatnot, so I think it's good to see him industriously plugging away.

I love TBC art. :)

I think he threw her in for either comedy obligation, or gender "equality". and welcome, barwhack, to the fold.

you gotta love making fun of the youth of today. quite good. not too short--over-developing things makes it less funny. definately better than four-branches. i don't think we've had one this good since road trip, which I personally feel was very good.

I loved Strong Sad in this one, though I was disappointed by Homsar appearing and yet not speaking. Gotta have some Homsarisms! But still pretty good, and - like the rest of the board - the facelift thing made me  . Though I think the segment from "Chair" with the mask being pulled off was a tiny bit more distressing. But just a tiny bit.

Anyway, pretty cool, yo :D

I wondered that too. I hope it didn't pull his pants tight too... Don't wanna think about that one.

This is much better than what they have been doing lately.

And is it just me, or are they doing weird stuff to Strong Bad lately?

I think it's safe to say that this email was well worth the prolonged wait. I had visited the Homestar Runner site many a time in search of Sbemail updates, but to no avail. So seeing this latest edition was a big relief. The fact that it was pretty dern good is just... well it's just super!

But yeah, I good laughs all around in this one. The Cheat's "Youth Through Editing" was the bomb diggidy! (Dijjery–dear Strong Bad... that's gold...) Man, Strong Bad should call those EMERGENCY MARKETING MEETINGs more often, he's got like, a whole board of people for the Sbemail empire! Oh and I was meaning to ask, does anyone know what every character at the EMERGENCY MARKETING MEETING was drinking? I picked up a few, but I couldn't put my finger on some of the others. Anyways, great email. Good to see Marzipan exploring her landscaping talents. A Strong Bad-themed backyard would be ill son. Ill.

And yes, I too was creeped out by Strong Bad's "lace-lift". However, I did like the fact that pulling his laces somehow affected his ability to walk, as his leg motions were somewhat constricted to those of Homsar. THE MORE YOU KNOW!

This was great. I LOVED the eStrong joke. "Vague Online Investments" perfectly captures the dotcom craze of the late 90's.

They have. Next, they'll probably do something with his... umm... I think they messed with everything already. Except for his brainstem. ;)

They haven't messed with his boots yet. I want to know if their part of his body or not.

That's... a good question. Are his books made of his body, or not?

No, I think his books are made of paper, and they already messed with his boots... y'know, the 'lectric boots? Way back in '06?
