Sure does, but that's a bit obvious, isn't it? Maybe it's just a decoy; knowing TBC, it may well be alive and well in a week's time. On the other hand, what with DNA evidence, who knows?

I was suggesting that seeing as how they took the DNA evidence and made it into a toon, that with something like this that was just dropped in there, they're probably going to do something with it. Then again, who knows with this?
EDIT: TOTPD :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance:

I personally didn't find this email to be all that funny. I saw the Paper being torn at the end coming, tho. (But hey, who didn't?)

Speaking of the Paper: who else thinks that in about 4 emails, its replacement is going to turn into an evil psycho printer and try to take over FCUSA? And the Paper beats it somehow? (?)

Homestar's ramblings are the best.

I thought this one was awesome! Missionaries...sega tapes...yellow bowl girlfriends...

The paper crunching up...it's a sign.

:hr: "Say, you good at video games? I'm not good at video games. The last time I fired up one of my old Sega tapes, it made me a waffle."

I kept rewatching this episode for the soul purpose of listening to Homestars priceless lines.

Hehe that was my favourite part too. Five cool points to Homestar for that one.

Is waiting to see what happens to The Paper the only reason you keep watching Homestar Runner? 0_0

@jimmy91: I hadn't thought of that, but that sounds like the makings of an awesome plot.

@Schwoo: no, but that's how I pass the time between SBEmails.

I assumed there would be nothing this week (the huge DNA evidence thing last week). The e-mail pretty much sucked, but the ending.....

Tune in next week!

Oh, and it gets a 1.

:sb: In montage said that the Paper stuck around until this email, when he replaced it with an inkjet printer. This means we'll be seeing a color printer next time!

It doesn't really have anything to do with H*R, but the writer of the sbmail that inspired "Montage" and the Paper's demise was from Surf City NJ. It just happenend that they reported on this morning's newscast that just off the beach of Surf City they found old WW1 munitions. One of the people interviewed was a Bubs-ish concession stand owner who displayed quickly made "I got bombed at Surf City NJ" T-shirts who said (I'm not making this up) "They're selling like hotcake". (I'm pretty sure he said 'hotcakes' and the tape was cut off early when they went back to the live reporter. Still it made me laugh.)

They should have just done the paper issue in this e-mail to fake everyone out and just had it get fixed magically in the next e-mail. In long pants remember he drew on the lappy and it was just magically fixed.

It was one of the best recently though.

Soup/10 (Gajilion bonus point to those who catch the refrence)

Well, I don't think it is much foreshadowing of the next email. I think they did plan to do something on email 172, and brought it back. My guess is that SB will say something about it at the beginning of 173 (Like the way he introduced Compy and Lappy when they were new), but not have an entire email about it. Then he will remark on the features when the opportunity arises.

I liked this email a lot. I liked the way they added in the "2 weeks later" part. Homestar's rant was cool.

I wonder if TBC will do anything for Memorial Day :usa: (they have done it in the past).

Speaking of "2 weeks later...", I liked the way TBC sort of "cut a hole" in the running gag of ":sb:: Hey, glad you asked that <insert email-sender's name here>, so and so just so happens to be starting right now!/that's exactly what I did!" that's featured in such emails as strong badathlon and alternate universe. They made the convention happen three weeks after the email was actually answered. Funny twist. :p

And who else thinks that maybe that scene with Tito the Tophaticent and Strong Mad is going to be in email #174? (read further into "2 weeks later...")

I HAVE THE ANSWER!

I know what's going to happen. Apologies if this has already been discussed but check out email #117 http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/montage

At the very end it reveals that Strongbad upgrades to an injket in email #173. Welp the armies one is email #172.

That's what this is all about.

Now I REALLY don't mean to be rude, Paul, but have you noticed that your email had a period instead of a question mark? How do some people make that kind of mistake? Is their left pinkie not capable of tapping the left shift key? I'm so sorry though, no offense. I'm only curious about the recurrence of the error.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious. We have already all been bludgeoned over the head multiple times with this theory (for months now) and I can say with some confidence that you are the last person to pick up on the inkjet thing.

was I the only person who got this? look at the "montage" email. At the end of the credits if you wait a minute it will say "The paper stuck around until email 173" I knew it was coming all this time!

You shouldn't ask if you were the only person who got something without looking at any other posts on the subject. It'll just get you mocked.
