Anyone think the party dance gag is gonna become the next DNA evidence?

(Whoa, how do I suddenly have a grand total of two posts?)

I'm trying to figure out how the pajamas Strong Bad describes are so embarrassing. Maybe I just haven't been to enough slumber parties.

This, probably.

Heh heh, Strong Bad is such a bedaxe. ;)

I loved the part where he's talking to Skip-Bo (Amelia Bedelia much?), and the chicken-in-a-pan (I have never liked baked chicken and would also bolt from any party that attempted to serve it to me), and the made-up "card games" of course -- though I was expecting Strong Bad to actually find the load-bearer and bring the house crashing down.

This is excellent! Funny video games, Strong Sad and Strong Bad arguing, and a bunch of slumber party jokes! I especially love that part where Strong Bad thinks the e-mailer had a party with just some Uno cards rather than a real person!

I just can't believe Strong Bad went through a whole email about sleepovers, and didn't make any mention of pillow-fighting girls in nighties.

I really liked this one. Uno is not boring! I thought that many of Strongbad's statements are truly right. However, I'm priveleged and I actually have fun at an uncool kid's place, not just because he has lots of awesome stuff.

It was pretty cool. Strong Bad gets to play Blistergeist while little baby Homestar plays clapping games all day. I've been to some parties where the food is blah because it's precooked and prebagged chicken. Ugh.

Ugh indeed.

Geez, I hate baked chicken with a passion.

Because the only part of the chicken I like is the breasts and they're usually bone-dry by the time my parents are convinced that the chicken won't disappear forever when removed from the oven.

It's possible to get chicken breasts that aren't bone dry?! It's like eating sand.

Don't get any meat precooked.

Who knows? :homsar:

That's how I see it. I don't really see a schism between the two.

Wow, that Strong Bad emoticon is tiny...

Well, the basic distinction would seem to be that all of the older people have regular jobs.

I thought it was pretty good. Clapping Hands was definately the highlight, the easter eggs at the end were pretty good as well.

4/5

Only that made me laugh was the clap party game. The Skip-Bo joke, while obscure, felt WAY forced and unfunny. Also enjoyed Homestar doing an encore dance easter egg.
2/5.

I think the blistergeist was the funniest part.

I don't know why.

It just was.

great Email! (he's right on about that eating at the table thing, yeesh)

that blistergeist is going to give me some serious nightmares

It was OK. Not the best. It seemed fairly normal. A few funny parts were clapping party and Strong Bad describing eating dinner at the table during a slumber party. Overall I give it a 3/5. It wasn't the best, but it was okay.

I liked this sbemail very much! If you divide the amount of food SB stated by, say, 10, then he'd be right about the menu. Except, I personally wouldn't include the sub sandwich. Some pizza, flavored beverages, and some skittles!

Way to bump an old thread, sonny.

Bumping old threads is perfectly fine on this forum as long as they have some sort of content, which Poptire's post did. It's pointless bumps without content such as "This is the best e-mail ever!" that are problematic.

Hey, um, I'm kinda a noob and there was probably a reference to this earlier, but why is Strong Sad's arm in a sling?

Post subject:  Re: Sbemail #180: slumber party

There's no real explanation, but earlier in the email, Strong Bad refers to dislocating younger siblings' shoulders at sleepovers.

Author:  furrykef [ Sat Apr 26, 2008 3:29 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Sbemail #180: slumber party

How's that not a real explanation?

Author:  Shwoo [ Sat Apr 26, 2008 3:34 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Sbemail #180: slumber party

He was using it as an example of why it's great to go to the uncool kids' sleepovers, because "it's not like you're ever going back there again". It'd be kind of weird to bring your own younger sibling to a sleepover and expect not to get in trouble to injuring them, so I'm pretty sure he was talking about other peoples' younger siblings.

[insert obligatory comment about Shwoo overthinking a cartoon here]

I'd be more overthinking that if that was a difficult conclusion to come to. It was harder to explain than think about, I think it's pretty clear that he was talking about other peoples' younger siblings.

I love the slumber party email. You'll earn thousand of points upon using it. Do we have somebody here who could at least give us some history of slumber party?

I LOVE this email. Slumber Party has become my favorite email of all time. 6,000 points! (SBCG4AP reference). My favorite part was the older persons slumber party. I LOL every time I see that.
