Uhhh...

1 2.... 1...2...

Yeah, this one was weird. That's all I can say.

you guys discuss it.

Personally, "Pwawty Cloughb" was the funniest thing. The Email Intro rhyme was clever as well.

Also, more DJ Cheat! You gotta love that.

Wow...
I liked it...but a little weird for me. And more "adult" for homestarrunner. 4/5

:hr: No ma'am. Twoop Bevelly Hills.

I just wasn't feeling this one. Quite weak. Missed potential.

For instance, every club I remember had at least one creepy old guy - an excuse to dust off Senor Cardgage if there ever was one.

Something tells me that TBC aren't the clubbing sort, so they probably wouldn't know.

I thought it was pretty gewd. I chuckled at seeing Strong Bad trying to get into the club ("Strong Mad, did you just make a joke?!"), and then getting thrown out with his pants off.

And now I kinda want a recording of that song that was playing in Club Technochocolate.

my favorite quote

:bubs: (while holding up the "pink elephant pants" drink in a eye dropper) tha'll be $17.50

:sb: Woah! you guys must be having a sale.

I laughed...OUT LOUD...at Strong Mad's joke.

Other than that, I kept thinking, "Hey, this is a pretty long email".

I am glad they finally used Strong Bad's room in something other than the Strong Bad main page.

Also, "dust off Senor Cardgage"?...They just used that guy last week. He must collect dust really fast.

Anyway, it was good to see the whole gang together again.**

4/5?...4/5 sounds good.

** I hate the Poopsmith so he doesn't count.

Not bad. In my estimation, a couple of the jokes fell flat, such as Homestar sleepwalking and having girl scout dreams, and where SB gets kicked out for...something involving his pants, apparently. But the email also had some redeeming features: for example, three ending easter eggs. And Strong Sad's fishnet gloves and club inactivity were golden.

Not sure how I feel about an H*R cartoon tackling a more "adult" scenario like clubbing...I've got nothing against it in theory, and there was a lot of potential for "designer drug" jokes that I'm glad didn't show up, but I think I'm most disappointed by the fact that the humor level was pretty average here.

I actually really liked this one. I laughed more than I did on the last couple. The only thing I didn't really care for was the pants joke. I didn't think it was funny. *shrug*

Other than that, great sbmail!

I did like this one... I love any email with Strong Mad in it so that was a plus for me. However, i think the scene with him would have been funnier had he put his reading glasses on when he looked at the "list". And I didn't care that they missed a lot of funny stuff about clubs... it was a step away from one of those "you get it or you don't" emails that only people that go clubbing frequently would find funny and back to some of its original humor.

To people concerned about HR becoming more "adult"... I believe TBC realize that people who have been fans from the beginning are, with the website, getting older, and are trying to appeal to them. I've been following HR since 2004, I was 14 then, I'm 18 now, and I like the more adult feel that this website is starting to have.

I agree. I enjoyed this e-mail precisely because TBC didn't make numerous references to the (assuredly many) nuances of night clubs. Strong Bad E-Mails have been following the "Hey, lookit all these references, isn't it hee-haw-larious?" formula for a while now. Homestar sleep...scouting(???) and Strong Mad as the bouncer saved the e-mail.

I'm gonna mimic X-Play (is that show even on anymore?) and give "nightlife" a 4... out of 5.

Am I in a good mood, or was this actually a really good email?

I constantly laughed out loud (literaly, not just the usual term for thinking to myself, "hey, that's funny!"). Homestar and Strong Sad's club on the hill was amusing. Strong Mad's joke was hilarious. Clever how Strong Bad read a meal off the bag to get in, and I liked the use of the drivethru whale as FCUSA's generic fastfood restaurant. Strong Sad was more "himself" than usual, and it made him a lot funnier. Coach Z counting to 2 was good. Homestar being asleep and dreaming that he was a girl scout was hilarious. I agree that it would have been funny if he was drunk, but this was a little more... unique. And Homestarrish.

On the negative side, Strong Bad's pants were a half-failed attempt at what could have been a great joke.

Overall, I enjoyed this a lot. They're actually trying to make some actual funny jokes and situations now, instead of restricting themselves to half-funny-not-really-jokes like "Il Cartographer, I mean Gardenboy!" (although that was pretty funny when it happened).

4.87 out of 5, I'd say.

I thought this one was pretty good.

I really want them to release a longer track of the music so I can use it while I'm working. haha. Yay bad techno!

You could see the KoT easter egg from a mile away.
Much better email. Again, the Homestar easter egg was funny, as well as the freestyling, and Strong Mad making a joke. Party on!

That was funny. I enjoyed that. TBC haven't lost it after all, apparently. That one announcer at the end who announced the spicy crispy chicken melt makes me laugh. He's the same guy who said "Yup, that's right, he just made a 'you-go-girl' joke."
4/5

One word: GOLD!!!!

Nevermind the humor (which I found there to be a satisfactory amount of), I just loved the overall feel of this email. I love that type of scene, the nightlife... I love going to clubs and dancing my keister off to the loud techno/trance music. For that reason, this email appealed to me.

I, also, laughed out loud at Strong Mad making a joke, and then Strong Bad acknowledging it with utter surprise.

And was it just me, or did the music actually sound somewhat gothic? Reminded me of the band The Last Dance. But I'm actually not complaining; I like that kind of music. :)

And just one more point to make in this post: we now know the name of the "invisible restaurant" that the drive-thru whale is from.
