The Lappy has almost been around for 80 emails. When do you think it's time of death is?

I would think possibly before Email 200.

i thnk its gonna die from some kind of mountain dew related death. i mean, now that we have New Paper, perhaps he won't gaurd his older sibling.

I've said before - it'll be the result of the new printer rebelling against his new cousins!! :-(

I'm guessing during the period of Sbemails 200-225. Perhaps even on either of those two dates. They would be pretty important/appropriate sbemail anniversaries.

Its even more difficult to say what ti will be replaced with I mean what more hi-tech (thats a computer) then a laptop? I think Lappy still has quite a while to go at least till its done as many as compy (tandy didn't get much huh? Not even 50?

The Lappy may have been around for over eighty emails, but let's not forget that the paper printed its last only fifteen emails ago, and it wasn't so long before that incident that SB brought his old computers out of retirement for one last email each. Given the considerable dead-electronics-related activity that's been going on recently, I'd say that so monumental an event as the death of the Lappy probably won't occur until well after email 200.

Plus, as FuzzySlippers pointed out, it's hard to get any more high-tech than a laptop. What exactly would SB upgrade to? It's anyone's guess.

I agree. Like when strong bad uses the cheat's computer, he doesn't like that its "too much computer, and not enough typewriter", so he probably wouldnt need a new hi-tec computer.

I say that the Lappy will be around for ten or so e-mails past 200. By then, the replacement of The Paper will be ancient news, and Lappy will probably fall off of Strong Bad's desk or something.

If anything, I'd say that Strong Bad would upgrade to an older desktop computer with a crappy desktop GUI. Of course, that'd probably be an extreme change, since Strong Bad apparently isn't too good with computer mice. Meh...it's up to TBC to decide.

Hmm... what if... SB actually used a typewriter??? What if, somehow, he used a typewriter that he dug out of somewhere. Then he would have to used snail mail to recieve the emails... (if that makes sense to yalls)

Didn't that one accent email show Strong Bad's future computer? Zappy or something.

As for when, I don't think it'll happen for quite some time. Like maybe more around email 250 or 300. @-@

Yeah, if he really were to upgrade it my first question, of course, would be "How?" and "why?". That's usually the fun the part. But then...to what? I can see him getting a new lappy *or* a new compy.

But another thing, if his lappy dies, will the sbemails die with it? I really hope not, but it could be a good way to end them if they end them at all anytime soon.

I would like the lappy replaced, but it's unlikely SB will "upgrade", as he was even mad when his Compy broke, and that's not much to bid on :P

To the point! Maybe he'll try out the lappy's delete function, only to have it backfire and send it into Hammerspace!

But let's see, what makes computers die most of the time:

o Viruses [already done]
o Malware [see above]
o Old age or dust [already done-Tandy]
o Miss use
o Fires
o Floods
o Siblings

Maybe it'll go like this: "Strong Mad: I MADE A BALL OUT OF THE LAPPY!!!"

Who knows, TBC tends to surprize us. Either they have a plan... or they don't :P

I`ve thought about this before, and I can`t really think of a replacement for it. Hopefully it will continue the `old electronics` gag; maybe he`ll get one with an actual desktop, and it will have like Windows 3.1 or something.

I also think it won`t be for a while, each computer lasts longer than the one before.

It's gotta be after email #200 but not much after. Email #200 is a too important milestone to have it be when a computer dies. I would personally feel jibbed if that's all TBC does for the 200th email because you can seriously kill the Lappy whenever(I'm thinkin SLEDGEHAMMER'D!). If they did it a couple emails after it, I'd be definately fine.

I've never really thought about how it will die, but I have thought about what the next one will be. Will he enter the world of Pentium power, perhaps? Or maybe start using The Cheat's computer for some reason?

good point but maby he'll just have one of those smart board (touchscreen projecter), a super computer, one of those mac air laptops, an iPhone, just responding to mail from the mailbox, a phone with sb texting, no tipping but live response (get's a letter then answers it just to the camera), orjust quit sbemail and make more toons.

the possibilities are endless!

I think he'll prolly just somehow get it damaged, then there will be one email where it gets repaired and SB has to use snail mail or maybe a carrier pigeon, then the next email, it'll be back.

Seeing as the Compy 386 lasted as long as it did, i'd put the guess of WHEN at around Email 230 ...

As for how ... Well, being eaten by Strong Mad has already been done with the 386. So that's out. Viruses was its first death.

i would put it as a victim of an overloaded hard drive.
