It was pretty good, but it could've used another terrible fan activity. Ya can't stop at just two!

Still, it was quite enjoyable, the Geofire/Angelcities gag made me laugh and the :kot: easter egg added a whole new level to his disgusting eating habits.

Bhah ha ha, oh that was great. Sbemails have been kinda crappy latley(sic) but they seem to be getting back their thunder.

I absolutely LOVED him making fun of Fan Fiction. Fan Fiction is the biggest disgrace to the original creators that I can think of. Good on ya, TBC!

That one really descended into the depths of weirdness. However, this is an exceptionally good thing. The atrocities of fan fiction were ripe for the skewering.

Okay, second page, but...

Wiki link: http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/fan_club
Site link: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail188.html

Top-class email, and totally true. I can't remember the last time an H*R cartoon made me laugh loudly. But the line "Just then, Homestar traipsed in, naked as a jaybird" sure did. He looks so proud, marching around naked...

Plus this one's special, coz I did freakin' everything for it: transcript, Easter eggs, many fun facts, many list updates (as usual)... Sure, I'm tired as tapioca now, but it was worth it. And if I hadn't transcribed it, I would never have noticed the Senor Cardgage bit. First two times I watched it, it was Homsar, so I didn't think anything of it being random, but on transcribing, I paused it right then, and it was Senor Cardgage. o_o That threw me for a bit, especially since it couldn't rewind. Yay for decompilers...

I liked all the references to old sbemails. This one was pretty great, to say the least. Strong Sad was great in this. "Said the New Paper."

I found it very humourous, especially Strong Bad's fanfiction(s).

First off- this email was the awesome!

i ended up saying WTPF when  said "Non Sequitur Champion: Cardgage or Homsar". The reason? i started a thread asking something oh-so-similar... My question was:
"Ok, its Homsar vs. Senior Cardgage!
its a battle of pure weird sayings and talking funny, wierdo y weirdo, statements that make no sense... "

You can find it here: http://forum.hrwiki.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11676 :senor: & :homsar:...

Could this mean that the TBC reads the forums??!??! Naw, it may be just a coincidence, but i like to think not...

Wow, this one was really good. Quite a few laugh out loud moments. I'd like to think that "engsmsplode" was just a stutter by Matt recording the vocals and they just kept it and wrote it in.

Grandiose! I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at the almost-SB/HR.

((I'm guilty of dabbling a bit in MGS fanfiction, and I do like to hint very subtly at an OtaSune pairing, but I'll agree that in the wrong hands, a fanfic in any fandom can be a dangerous thing.))

Five out of stinking five. This email was highly relevant to my interests. I have read so much Homestar fanfiction, and so much fanfiction period...Agg ILU TBC. Please to be marrying me. I actually l aughed out loud so so many times which doesn't happen often with SBemails nowadays. Oh god Strong Sad is the best thing on the planet. He's such a cute little moosh. :3

...Said the Checkot.

Also,

Only declaring your love for people almost twice your age who you've never met is probably a bit creepy, so I'll go back to fangirling Strong Bad.

OH MY GOD STRONG BAD I LOVE YOU.

Both the major things I hate about Homestar Runner fanfiction were addressed: The voices being off, and the deluge of no characters for no good reason, and often no reason at all. And there was also what appeared to be a slashy moment between Strong Bad and Homestar, written by Strong Sad. STRONG SAD IS A HOMESTAR/STRONG BAD SHIPPER THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER*. Also, it was really funny that Strong Sad was the president of the Strong Bad Email fanclub. How did that happen, I wonder?

*Yes, I know he was trying to get to Strong Bad. Don't spoil the magic.

CRAP! Just a week or two ago I sent an extremely similar email, and now someone else's email that's exactly like mine got answered instead...

Anyways, I liked this, as a fanfiction writer myself... I wonder what SB would think about my crazy HR crossovers...

Ya know, I never get tired of the Chaps ragging on their adoring fans. Never gets old.
Personally, I REALLY hope Senor Cardgage doesn't replace Homsar. I was never a real big fan of Senor. Plus Homsar is hardly in any toons anymore! Isn't he supposed to be the "secwet guy"? He should have a lot more easter egg appearances.

I know I'm in the minority here; if it had just come out of the blue, I would have rated it four or even five stars; however, coming right on the heels of "The S is for Sucks", which is basically the same joke only with a catchy musical number, I had to ding it a point.

I get the impression you haven't actually read any of my fanfiction. I do my best to get the voices right, and the only time I used an OC was when I was making fun of terrible OCs. Unless you thought I'd be offended by the general idea of Strong Bad disliking fanfiction? It's the same sort of thing he did in rough copy, only with less legal action.

I did the subtitles though! At two in the morning. It was worth it!

My favorite line was "you can't just start making up terrible new ___!" I'm going to have to use that one sometime.

Yay, this E-Mail finally gave me a good name I can use to do my first post! :homsar:

This was an amazing E-Mail. I just wish they could work out the sound glitches when it randomizes scenes.

Hmmm anyone notice that Strongbad's iNTO THE MORONOSHPHERE! Homestar looks alot like the Sketchbook Homestar, especially "Leggin' it out here boss!" uh gee slack maybe because SB is a fictional character and they're drawn by the same person?, but I do think they were similar images

Oh...Em...Gee... PURE GOLD!! Now THAT'S what I call humor: making fun of us crazy H*R fans! What do you guys wanna bet that "deletehead" will become trendy new slang soon?

My favorite parts were the fanfiction jokes because I confess I write such crapstroms as a hobby. :p I just want to know how on earth The Brothers Chaps discovered fanfiction and how especially bamboozled they were when they saw slash. If The Brothers Chaps ever read this, we fans just want you to know that we don't really know why we come up with these crazy stories or pairings. I guess...okay...I know we're just crazy and whiny young nerds who should be happy that you guys tolerate us. *laughs*

Best Parts

"since that's totally the way I talk" and "because I have plenty of time to say both syllables"

the implied Strong Bad/Homestar

naked Homestar

Strong Bad's mega sandwich

This is definitely one of my new faves.

SB's ultra-long sammich and fanfic had me dying. 7.5/5!!! :D

:sb: "And that's why I like ALL them Star Tracks! said Strong Sad, and entire bag of Twizzlers falling out of his mouth."

:sb: "Suddenly, an 8-foot sub sandwich constrictor en...gs...ms...SPLODED out of nowhere!"

This happened to me. I sent a very similar one to "environment"(I think that was actually in the subject line too) and it went to those other people from Idiot and Moron.

On the topic of the email: :marzi: 's cuss "shootie-kahootie" had me rofl'ing.

Notice how the website says 2004, in reference to how those websites are put up quickly and then left to gather dust for years. For example, you might find a website that still has banner ads for "re-elect Bush". Another thing is the "dead links", where people never update their sites, so the links break and are never fixed. The poor quality jpegs are another stereotype of those sites as well. That, and the random info listed on the websites (from the fact that people just wanted a website for no real reason). I'm surprised the site didn't have the infamous red X that always shows up on such sites when image URLs break.

Darn it, the superlong sub had me going; I thought for sure a second SB was gonna come out holding the other end.

But otherwise, excellent email. I love how Dump Sad criticizes SB for having old computers and then uses "Angelcities" to host his late-'90s-style website. And how he thinks SB/HS makes for good slash... that dude has promblems. Kudos to this email for following the trend of "web comics" by acting like Something Awful Lite. (All of the flava, with only half the chance of NSFW!)
