Oh, this was good! They're parodying knockoffs! And I love knockoffs! 5/5

One knockoff I particularly like is The Wild, which IMO is done better than Madagascar.

heh...this one was pretty good.

i wasn't so much creeped out by the daycare, though...more of a "hey, downtown is full of those!" sort of reaction for me.

in closing, i would buy several boxes of marshmallow Cheets.

Having watched it again and paused it to inspect the day care, I can reasonably say that that day care is the creepiest thing I'd seen all week.

The Thrill wrote:

I did. Out loud. While I was watching it with my brother.

If his Lappy is really as old as he claims, he can't have WiFi.

Chickenleg, how exactly did you make that?

This cartoon made me realize something. At first glance, you wouldn't think Senor Cardgage would make a good recurring character. But the great thing about Senor Cardgage is that weird old mumbly men are such a prevalent fixture of our society that he can appear in a wide variety of roles--and you'll find yourself thinking, Senor Cardgage is totally the guy who scanned my groceries today, or whatever the case may be.

New contender for most risqué line on H*R: <i>"I'm a public flasher!"</i> We haven't seen anything like that since the Blue Bra.

Generally, there was a lot of solid material in this email. I liked the various layers of legitimacy and illegitimacy surrounding all the merchandise--and the fact that Bubs' black market goods are actually higher-quality than his usual wares. Also it's always funny to see the Cheat flying bloatedly through the air.

Hilarious. I love it when TBC comes up with the unexpected ("Ah'm a public flasher!" ). I hope we see more of Bubs' "black market", I really laughed at that. However, I know Cardgage is supposed to be creepy, but this sbemail almost made him look like a... pedophile :senor: (jibblies).
Also I'm seeing a trend with the tune of Homestar's little songs:

"Never ending soooooda, AaA AaA AaA."
"The blood is rushing too my heeeaaad, blacking out blacking out blacking ooouuut."
"Broken glass broken glass broken glass broken glaaass."
"Ugly bird ugly bird ugly bird ugly biiird."

That. Was worth it. I have two distinctly favorite moments. The first is the "You ain't got any nudity under there!" Second is when Strong bad asks if the ferret ointment will make The Cheat bloat up and the little yellow critter gets that little angry look. So great. Really, really good E-Mail.

:sb: "Save the gross stuff at the back of your throat... and hock it at an unsuspecting e-mail."

Yeah so I didn't see it... :-|

No seriously... My favourite part was totally Senor Cardgage's Daycare and the "Jungle Animals" DVD caption: "So straight to DVD it hurts." It always get's me how Disney will make a cheap spin-off of their own material. So naturally I guffawed at that one...

In conclusion: "That junk was still my best birthdays ever!" :hr:

I really dug it! Such a wonderful parade of randomness...like a Family Guy episode at warp speed!
I agree with whoever said it was a bit hard to follow...another reason why I liked it! Great replay value.
My favourite SBemails always tend to be the ones that you have to see a few times to catch everything.

Ugly bird easter egg was sooooo funny!

I'm not the biggest fan of hyper-random stuff...the broken glass thing felt a little forced. Otherwise though, it was pretty amusing. That electric toothbrush/lollipop thing was quite adorable!

Very funny. Senor Cartgage at his finest, especially with the "I take kids" drawing thing on the wall.

Bubs is still indeed jointless in the arms. I wonder if that's easier to animate than the old style.

Now I am aware of Homestar's lisp, and it kinda sounds like he's going "ugly board, ugly board, ugly board ugly board," i.e. he pronounces it like "board/bored/bode" when he says "bird." That's what pleases me - the way he pronounces certain words, like girl as "goal."

That was one sinister face he had there. I also enjoyed The Cheat as an antennae'd Winnie the Pooh...mouse.

This sbemail was pretty great, though on the threshold of HSR inappropriate with some of those lines.

:bubs: I'm-a public flasher!

Or "ghoul", which proved to be quite a problem with HSvsLG

Yeah, I'll vote 4/5.

Is it just me or did someone (prob'ly me) mention Walking On Broken Glass by Annie Lennox recently?

Then licensed came out.
It was worth the wait
My favorite quote from this email:

I LOL'd so many times..

Disney doesn't make the knock-offs. Second-rate, small time companies looking to make an easy buck do. They cash in on the popularity of the Disney movie.

I think Maphisto's referring to the sequels Disney's been making to their popular cartoons. They tended to be lower in a quality and direct to DVD.

Ah, gotcha. But the sbemail is referencing what I was talking about, not half-baked sequels.
