In Canon - Does SB pick his own emails?

Something I've been looking way more into than I should lately.

Okay, I know in reality, TBC choose which email Strong Bad will answer in the cartoon. But in the cartoon, is it Strong Bad who picks which email to answer? In The Process and Unused Emails there is almost indisputable proof that this is true. BUT WAIT! If he picks his own email to answer, then....

1.) Why, in "dragon", was he hoping it was from a girl? Wouldn't he already know ahead of time that it wasn't a girl?
2.) Why would he pick the virus email that he "answered" in Virus?

I know there are other inconsistencies, but those are the only ones I can think of right now.

AND THEN....

If he doesn't pick which email to answer, who does? The Cheat? Does he have one randomly selected?

Don't you love over-analyzing stuff???!!!!

I imagine TBC go by the Rule Of Funny. That is to say, how Strong Bad actually gets his e-mails and whatnot isn't all that important, and if TBC need to address the issue, they'll just pick whatever interpretation is funny at the moment.

It's a rather boring answer, but there you have it.

I think he has a general screening process to get rid of the stuff that's complete crap (but sometimes, like in virus, things just happen to get through), but otherwise he just picks one at random.

It looks to me like when :sb:

turns on his email-checker it just picks one for him and he answers it. Unless it gets deleted.

I've spent four years poking around that wiki, and I haven't stopped yet. Well, coming up to four years. Well, I don't remember when I found the TV Tropes Wiki, I just know it was some time in the second half of 2004.

Anyway, in universe I think Strong Bad does get a lot of unanswerable emails which he deletes, but we don't see that happening because it'd take up too much time and not be very entertaining.

This may be explained by this theory: Sometimes he picks his own, and sometimes, to mix things up, he selects the e-mail randomly.

It's possible they're all random, but the ones he deletes (like the ones in "unused" - but not all of them, like "car") are not released to the general public. They're just in a reel on a shelf gathering dust.
