We like JUST started talking about the rating system in my Film History class, so this was hilarious for me. I still don't think Cardgage is funny at all, but other than that I completely enjoyed it. SB's explanation of the difference between R, RR, and RRR had me in stitches!

I loved the Cardgage scenes, and Coach Z and Bubs as stereotypical college kids, but as others have stated, too short, no Homestar, Oh yeah, would've liked to hear a line from Homsar too. so, again A-

Eh, I gave it a 3. Senor Cardgage is what made it great. Not many sbemails have made me laugh that much. Maybe this calls for an appearence from Eh! Steve! :ehsteve:

About the "Holy Crap" easter egg, do you think TBC will rember that the next time Strong Bad DOES say those two trademarked words?

It's... okay. It's not really that memorable, and I barely get a laugh, but it's entertaining enough.

3/5.

I wasn't a huge fan on the subject, but there were too many awesome jokes to rate this any lower than a 4.

Best moments in this email:

-Strong Sad camping out by his desk.
-Senor Cardgage
-King of Town

Strong Bad's "Oh, so you think you're pretty clever eh?"
and Strong Sad's easter egg
made me laugh so hard <3

I got kinda scared when Strong Bad said 'R-rated movies' but of course, the topic was handled with tact and professionalism. Not too sure why I was afraid in the first place.

Poor Coach Z, still confused at such a mature age >w<

I'll say 3/5, but I would give it more of a 3.5 if there was that option. Funny and short. But there are some questions it left me with: Shouldn't SB's fav movie be Dangeresque? Why does he prefer R-rated movies to NC-17 ones? confuzzled...

I'm guessing your under the age of 30. A lot of these e-mails need to be seen through the eyes of someone who grew up in the 1980's to be fully appreciated.

NC-17 was only invented in 1990, so is new-fangled by Strong Bad standards (who's using a 486 laptop, mind you).

I'm not even sure the scrambled cable joke can be appreciated at all by someone who didn't experience it first hand - it's not even possible these days. Back when my family first got cable, the "remote" was connected by wire to the cable box, and consisted of a bunch of exclusive buttons for selecting the channel (press one button, and it popped up the last one). If you pressed a combination of buttons at the same time, you could get all kinds of restricted channels, most of which looked almost as bad as in the email.

Perhaps I was a little harsh on this sbemail considering I only gave it:
:trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: out of :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: :trogdor: but it did not make me laugh as hard as I otherwise would have. However it has it's moments, such as: :sb: "Ow my pension" and our contribution by L.Eftformat. That was worthy of a "guffah!". Meh, Im just grumpy for some reason. In closing, this review is rated NC(-)60+RRR for explicit rabbit stomping.

The Sbemail doesnt even deserve an r. The movie on the other hand could be triple r, or nc-17 as we say in this world

I dunno, I didn't like it that much, but I liked when the camera turned around to face Strong Bad's face and he talked about the whole protagonist stepping on a rabbit thing.
3/5.

Quite possibly the least interesting Email of the entire Lappy 486 era. Except maybe radio or the original version of retirement B. I'm especially disappointed with the intro. "My email is a cell phone! No it's not! My email is a car phone! That's hot right." Doesn't flow at all. It also would have been better if the good guy in the RR movie was superfluously violent instead of a wimp! What the heck was TBC thinking?

There are no X to XXX ratings. There used to be an X rating, but it was replaced by NC-17. If anything claims to be rated X (or XXX... I don't think anybody ever bothers with XX), it was not rated by the MPAA, which doesn't even bother with giving ratings to pornography.

Other than that, the list is correct (except it's spelled "PG-13", with a hyphen).
