aaaand that's why I like to scroll... with scroooolllll buttons. that was my first one.

it's kinda funny when he tried to teach marzipan to sing that... with carol.

can't remember which email that was. something about strongbad dying and leaving a will? ugh. i don't remember.

When I first heard of homestarrunner, there were no scroll buttons; meaning no scroll buttons song.

It just went

a>list files

And then a list of the sbemails came up, and if I can remember correctly a link in the lower right corner saying "Sign Up For Updates".

I like started watching at the 1/4 of the year...so the first scroll song i heard was:

What's kinda interesting is, the Coach Z rap was the scrollsong for a really long time, so I didn't know it got changed every once in awhile. Anyway, I took a several month break from Homestar Runner, and then when I came back, I was like, :eek: "They changed the song?! What? Why??"

Well, for years, I'd have told you the answer was "Once you get a couple scrollin' back, scroll buttons get ill like a heart attack." But the Wiki has informed me that I am wrong on two counts:

1. The words are actually "Once again it comes scrollin' back, scroll buttons get ill like a heart attack."
2. More importantly, this scroll buttons song was not introduced until "caper" and I started watching Homestar when "the show" was the new Email. I didn't watch it very much then, so I probably didn't remember.

All this to say, the first scroll buttons song I ever heard, although I don't remember it, was:

"Scroll it out, just scroll it out. Scroll buttons two-point-oh."

Well, I found h*r in September 2002, and I seem to remember "sb_email 22" being on the update button...

The Wiki says sb_email 22 (which was placed between 40 and 41, I think) premiered on September 2nd, 2002, so I'm assuming I discovered ache star arr from the 2nd to the 7th of Sept. '02.

Judging by the dates presented on the Wiki, that would make my first scroll button song "Scroll buttons. What is UP?", which ended on September 8th '02, or "'Sup, my scrollies? You guys are looking good.", which began on September 9th '02.

Unfortunately, I don't clearly remember either.

Ain't the Wiki grand?
