That email sure hit the spot. Had all the fixings I've been waiting for:
* A Coach Z "Jam" of appreciable length
* Strong Sad showing a different side / trying to be cool
* Marzipan being a hippie again
* Had all the cool and interesting characters without the less-cool characters (Bubs, Pom Pom, Poopsmith)

I might just be ready to declare this one the Best Email Ev... well, I'll wait a bit more and see how it grows on me.

This was a good un. It was pretty funny, considering that it wasn't as random as some of the recent ones. I liked the lyric rampages, both the SB/CZ one and the SS one. Good prize! Ding!

I'd like to see SB do something out of the ordinary again

it's been a while since something unusually off-schedule happen'd, such as homestar filling in

Haha, I loved that email.

:coachz: "We should call you SS...for Strong Sad. Horhorhorhor."

I swear Coach Z is on drugs.

Did anyone else notice that the rap that Coach Z and Strong Bad are doing sounded an awful lot like a real song? My first thought was "Oh Yeah" by Big Tymers, but I don't think that's it, and it's been eating at me all day.

A pretty good email, although I didn't find it quiiiiite as good as you guys seem to. Definitely had its moments though. I feel it went down starting with the lyrical rampage, that part was somehow lacking. By the way, Strong Mad had glasses before. In that process of what Strong Bad does with the emails as linked from Strong Bad's webpage.

Peter,
THIS BOOK IS TOO LONG!! :sm:
This is a sub-po-ena!!
Or more like going ORRRRFFF!!

The email was well, okay-funny, which is good. The good parts were (prepare for usual Shim-Sham-Sam list):

-The reading rampage with Strong Mad (with glasses) reading a waffle
-Strong Bad whacking the King of Town with the rod
-Homestar hitting himself with a mallet
-Homsar makes another appearance
-Coach Z seems to make fun of Strong Sad for the first time
-The Easter Egg with the Rampage video game parody with Strong Mad going "My Panties! My Panties!" And there's another reference to morning routine as well (the book named "The R is for Routine").

Well, other than that, what is it with Homsar and Marzipan? Are they making a... Nah, Marzipan is probably still Homestar's girlfriend, and Homsar is just an auidence member.

And one more thing: MY 100th POST! w00t!

I thought SS was hilarious in this one. Iambic pentameter rules!

7/10, for the funny parts being few and far between.

This is a solid e-mail. I don't think the jokes were few and far between though Kate, I thought each scene was great on its own term.

You don't get it do you? Try and remember who the guy was who was DOING the poetry slam. The reason that Marzipan and Homsar were in the audience but no one else was, was because no other person would present an audience to Strong Sad.

The person who said the thing about the "outcast trio" is pretty close, except for the fact that half the male characters have a crush on Marzipan, and everyone but Strong Bad likes her (does he?) so she's almost as popular as Pom Pom making her not an outcast.

Unless you count "The Luao" but that was because marshmallows sounded more appealing than tofu and the music was better (or was it?)

Shim-Sham-Sam also wrote:

I noticed that too. It was a little bit disturbing because here he is, Mr. Encouragement, wrecking whatever's left of Strong Sad's self esteem and not even caring. It's really pathetic. Nobody cares about his feelings except Marzipan. Homsar doesn't know what's going on. Marzipan only cares about Strong Sad's feelings because she'd feel guilty if she didn't. Everyone else should get a conscience.

I actually do remember Coach Z being mean to Strong Sad. In 'impression' Coach Z cuts off Strong Sad when he's talking, telling him that he's no longer needed. Then he proceeded to push Strong Sad out of the picture. But it was wierd that Coach Z said that, considering it was Strong Sad that helped the Coach pronounce 'Job'. Maybe he was making fun of Strong Sad to impress Strong Bad.

Preferred this one to "long pants," but that's just me.

I guess I just hate Homestar in Daisy Dukes.

Heh, I knew there was going to be a Rampage (the game) easter egg after reading the email title. This email could have used more rampages though.

The toons rarely have that much to do with each other. I doubt that Coach Z would remember that from oh so long ago and be nice to Strong Sad for it.

Tandy was at least 2 years ago. In my opinion, it's a given that every e-mail will be better than those... this one just didn't work for me. Maybe I still miss Compy, or maybe it's just cuz it wasn't funny, but this was even annoying to watch the 2nd time through.

Try looking under "Inside References".

I mean, the characters don't remember the things others have said or done. Most of the time.

I liked the expression The Cheat had after Strongsad told him to "hit it".

Meh, it was alright.
Long pants has set a new standard as of late I do believe though.

I liked Long Pants a lot more than this one. I don't know, this email just wasn't very good, and I tend to love every SBEmail I see, so it was weird to have a week go by where it was just... blah. Coach Z's laugh was the highlight, I think.

4/10

The "lyrical rampage" made this one rather memorable, and has helped me overcome the horror of being subjected to Sheryl Crow at high volume the day before. Strong Sad and Homsar and The Cheat had memorable quotes (respectively, "Iambic pentameter is where it's at", "Carmel corn for president, please", and "Meh..."). And the Rampage easter egg was classic. Altogether, not an all-time great, but a better than average e-mail. DALO rating: "Awesome, awesome fancy danish."

And since seeing that e-mail, I found that you can actually play the original Rampage online for free at Shockwave.com. Quite cool.

It really is a shame to see people wanting more than just a Strong Bad Email or saying SBEmail's are old. These guys work on these things. Give 'em a break.

But I thought this email was absolutely fantasmic. I loved Strong Mad's glasses during the Reading Rampage, and I haven't seen the KOT or Coach Z in a while. Perfect!

Yeah, but remember the email PART-TIME JOB?? Ugh...

Uh, you just called Bubs uncool. You must have meant to type "Eh! Greg". And are you saying Strong Sad is cool? Pfft. Anyway, why did everyone think "long pants" was so good? Strong Bad was consistently childish. More than usual.

How is that avvy even possible? Doesn't it usually say like "Your avatar is too big" or something when you try and upload a whopper like that?

It defies the laws of... avvy-physics... or avysics, as I like to call them.
