So, I guess there's no real Strong Bad email this week. however, there IS that short toon on the SBemail menu. Any thoughts on it? Personally, I thought it was pretty funny, but that's because Bubs is always awesome. (and with that new Bubs shirt in the store, I'm sorely tempted to make a purchase. Plus, I need those Series One figurines anyway... so much to spend my money on, it seems.)

I just saw it. So, I guess the computer really did break and it wasn't a dream.

I liked it. It was pretty funny.

It was hilarious. Bubs and Homestar are a terrific trio in terms of comedy. I wonder what'll happen next..

Has anyone noticed that if you click on an email title, it goes to the one before it? Therefore, virus is inaccesible through this menu, as some kinda robot is sbemail0. So, virus takes you to montage.

It doesn't seem to be working anymore.

At least, right now it's not. I'm still getting at the ol' regular SBmail menu, from every link -- from the wiki AND from the main site.

How odd.

Edit, ten minutes later: It's working now. Wacky.

I reloaded by browser, but mine is still one-off. And yet it works on yours? This is odd.

Oh homestar.. I just love hearing everything he says and his facial expressions. So this cartoon is a real winner with me!

I noticed that, and was going to make a note of it in the Wiki, but I don't know where it would best go.

:bubs: Programmatically I'm guessing they made an array and iterated through it, not remembering that in actionscript the arrays are zero-based (as opposed to GWBASIC and many others which had 1-based arrays).

I'm scared... I actually kinda understood that.. Maybe I DID learn something in my CS classes :)

I didn't notice the toon first time I looked at it. Didn't look at it long enough. I did see it, however. It was great! I'm not gonna lie to ya, you're not gonna find a better toon.

Apparently the font they use doesn't like underscores. Look at "sb_email 22".

So the next question is how long will it take for SB to get lappy? (Yeah I'm running witht the assumption that he's getting a lappy folks ;) There was an awful long haitus before he got compy.. borrowing tangerine dreams.. working on a malfunctioning olde compy.. I mean he's going to have to save up some serious dough before he can get a lappy. Those things are.. pretendous.

It's like I was saying in the topic about "virus": TBC care too much about their fans to make it a dream or something. And this answers the question of why the email menu didn't change when virus came out.

I noticed that the hand-written looking font they used for the email address doesn't have a "_" character. It just displays a square.
The short toon was pretty funny, but I could've used another email ;)

Awesome! I love the menu. My brother is away, and I think the menu will be gone before he comes back, so I took a screenshot of it. I just saw the email, having been rather busy today, and just having gotten on. Of course, the first thing I did was rush over to the menu to see the new email.

Too bad there wasn't a new email.

Homestar was acting kind of odd, don't you think? Weirder than usual, with his random words. I can understand him talking to no one, but the "freedom" thing kinda made me wonder what was up. Anybody else have thoughts on this?

(I can't believe I actually understood what you were talking about, Buz. )

You can also save a swf file for the menu.

Or maybe TBC will move the menu as a short cartoon, but remove the list of emails and maybe replace with something.

I hope they do. Thus, future fans will be able to see this short without going through some complicated roundabout process that involves Google and viruses.

Ooh! Ooh! I know! Homestar was acting weird because his brain was addled from the virus, and now he's gone batty!

NOOOO!!! HOMESTAR! DON'T GO CRAZY ON US!

I want to buy a lemon...

I still love the "Slightly Shotgunned" label on the Compy; it just cracks me up on how much of an understatement that is.

Maybe there will be another "postcard" email. Or perhaps one about SB's search for the next Compy, going through various brand names, but to no avail.

Norman Rockwell should make an appearance, too.

EDIT: Oh, hey. Though the links are fixed at the beginning of the flash file, after the short movie plays, the links that reappear at the end are still off by 1.

I thought Homestar acted perfectly Homestarly, buying freedom and all. It's a Bubsness, mind you.

I am going to go out on a limb here, and say that this signifies the end of the strong bad email as we know it.

I just don't think SB can afford a new computer.

Hope you guys enjoyed it while it lasted.

That's a little too soon to say I think.

At least they'll do some sort of resolution or finale. In Memory of Compy or something like that. Compy 386 did go out "in style" (sort of), but the whole SBEmail series has not yet.

SB can always rob stuff to get more money! Or maybe his parents will buy him one.

I don't think that this is the end of the emails, just a short hiatus. And regarding his new comp, Strong Bad will prob. "borrow" some money from Strong Sad.
