Post subject:  Email #173 Inkjet Printer (not real name)
Acording the the email Montage, at the end it says

Code:
The Paper stuck around until
email #173, at which time Strong Bad
upgraded to an inkjet printer.



What do you think the printer will look like? Or post your thoughts on whats its ganna be like, or if strongbad will even do it.

I think they may well do something to acknowledge it...after all, we were all wondering about Dangeresque 3, because they said it'd come out June 2004, and when June came, they did the Dangeresque 1 email. Those Brothers are smart guys. :cheatgrin:

I think this date's a bit far off - remember that E-mail 131 has just passed and if they're going to continue at their current 'every other week, sometimes longer' pace, E-mail 173 may not happen until early 2007. Who knows if they'll have forgotten about it by then, though I'm sure they'll be reminded by a few people, much like 2 Years, whose anniversary will be coming much sooner.

Besides, do you think TBC will really replace The Paper?
Tandy or Compy, I can understand, but I doubt The Paper will become obbsolite or come to harm.

I doubt that it will be the focus of the email, but TBC will probably mention it on the side, maybe in an easter egg, maybe with no direct mention to it. They have become especially self-referential in recent weeks, and that trend suggests to me that they will indeed put it in the email.

That's a good point, about 2 years.. September 22, 2005 will be two years after that email. So far, absolutely none of Strong Bad's predictions have come true (even Strong Sad has become more weird and hyper than whiney).

I don't think they'll get rid of the Paper. They'll just make it a non-lined, inkjetty the Paper. And perhaps with a different sound effect

Well, I like the current printer. I don't think it wil happen, but I'd like to see Strong bad introduce the new printer, then he pulls up the email. He starts reading it, but the printer starts spewing out lots of papers and doing other weird crazy things. After the craziness stops, Strong Bad finds the Lappy to have a different email on the screen. More stuff happens, and by the end of the email, Strong bad throws the printer at Strong Sad and gets back the old one.

And the've been doing emails bi-weekly recently.

So, we'll be about abotu 145 at the end of the year
171 at the end of 2006
So yes, early in 2007.

Dangeresque 3 is a huge movie project, though. All they need to do to make the switch to the inkjet is just change the paper that comes down at the end (providing they'll do the minimum necessary to acknowledge it).

Maybe we'll actually get to see the printer. I always wonder why they never showed it. The Tandy acknowledges its existence, but normally they just talk about The Paper. Its kinda weird.

Well remember that one e-mail, I think it was 'extra plug' and I think it was Strong Mad holds the paper from a hook.

Maybe the printer is some magical thing that runs away at :cheat: like speed

I think it would be funny if SB tripped and then the printer broke... he takes it out of the box and says "That's not what it looked like in the commercial! Freakin' false advertising..." and then he plugged it in, and tried to load in the ink cartridge, but the bay was jammed because of the damage. So he jams it in, and then at the "end" of the email it would print out |||||||||| | |||||| || and some other random black squares and odd things, and it would have really wet ink, it would still email SB if you clicked it but if you waited, you would see Strong Bad say "Whoa. I can't believe I didn't notice that! It's defective! The computer store sold me a defective printer!" and he goes back and uses the paper. And after that, you could click on the edge of the paper (the part with holes) and you could see Strong Sad saying, "I know how that printer feels."

It is strange. Apparently, from where The Paper comes out, the printer is on top of the Tandy, Compy, and Lappy. Although its never shown when the whole computer is, and probably can't fit on top of the Lappy.

In short, the Printer is the Eighth Wonder of The World.
