Solid e-mail. I cracked up when Strong Bad fell asleep again. And there was a Marshmallow's Last Stand refereance/s! 9/10!

I loved the MLS reference. This one deffinitely continues the run of great emails SB has been having recently. Very funny, mocking of the old toons. 8.5/10

Actually, it's the sixth longest sbemail to date.

Also, close examination will reveal that Homestar and Strong Bad's voices are different here than in MLS. Homestar is not as high-pitched as he used to be, and Strong Bad is slightly more relaxed, making them both a little bit more like their modern-day counterparts.

Yeah. The "casual" fans will be lost with this email. Us "obsessed" fans know where this is coming from.

My friend just watched it and he was yelling how much he thought "IT SUUUUUUUUUUUCK'D!!!!!" I asked him how he could possibly find the big Marshmallow's Last Stand reference funny. Apparently, he's never seen it. So yes, unless you know and love the original, you're not going to like this email.

I beleive he meant the part that was actually the email that the 2nd and 3rd best freind's wrote, as msot of the email show was about the old email.

Great sbemail! Good to know Marzipan's still around after her voice's unusual absence in Happy Fireworks. But where was Pom Pom? He was a big part of those old cartoons.

Yet another mini-song inside a Strong Bad Email.

Very nice...

+4 for MLS. New fans not getting it? Yeah, shut up kids.
+3 for Marzipan. Glad to see her back.
+3 for The Cheat being cuter than ever.
-2 for no Pom Pom.

Am I the only one who thought "okay, here comes the King of Town" when they revealed the food?

Well, that was a pretty good email. For some reason, I didn't like it like you people did. I OUGHTA WATCH IT AGAIN. I MUST have missed something funny or something. Maybe I ought to turn up the volume a bit more to hear the laserdisc song more clearly to like it. Nice with the going back in time with the Marshmallow's Last Stand thing, especially with answering the email in the arena. I liked the anvil bit, as well as the kicking The Cheat bit, and also Strong Bad blowing up because he was trying to smoke while he was still covered in gas.

Also, the ending cracked me up (not literally, unlike Strong Bad). What, with Strong Bad sleeping, talking about cucumbers, saying he's going to eat some ice cream, but sleeping again. Nice ending!

Too bad Pom Pom's not here. Even in the past when Pom Pom's supposed to be popular...

And it looks like Homestar's and Marzipan's relationship is definitely fragile. In fact, I think it's more than 50 or 60 percent fragile.

Yeah, I know. I mean, if I never discovered this wiki, I would have never seen or heard of Marshmallow's Last Stand. I guess with old stuff like "The King of Town" toon, those people would just figure its an old style or something.

True, but they'd probably still wonder why Strong Bad was in a wrestling ring.

The Cheat playing the laser disc was the best scene in that e-mail. Overall I give it a 8/10, this was one of the better e-mail I have seen.

This email was pretty good. I liked how they showed the flashback and old animation stuff. They sorta mocked their own work.

No, seriously, lazer disc, looking cute, and smelling like litterbox.
The Cheat, you are not eliminated, and get to stay one more night.

Hmm, it was pretty nice, but nothing made me laugh out loud, and the Last Stand Style part was a bit drawn out. I agree that TBC have reached their quota for making fun of their old style. Anything further would be overly self-indulgent. I liked the Laserdisc, what with how out-of-date SB is. "What could ever replace the durability of magnetic tape?" Still, it wasn't boring. And the Moustace is great.

Ooh! Sweet.
This was a nice, solid email. I thought it was weird how they brought back the mustachioed Homestar, right after someone made a topic about it in General Discussion. I feel like I am being watched.
Anyway, the high point for me was the laserdisc song.

7.5/10

Ugh. Y'know, I always love Sbemails. Heck, I even though Dreamail was OK. But this...the opening was good, but once it went into the flashback, the only good part was the anvil into the audience. I don't see why they would bring back the old style of emails, they were all utterly uninjoyable. ECSPECIALLY marshmellows last stand. everything in those are drawn out far to long, and werent funny in the first place. This is one least favortie Lappy era....I sure hope TBC doesent get into a rut again...

I was cracking up during the flashback. I tried to stop laughing so loudly. Especially with Mike singing the "The End" song too.

Lol, Genghis Khan. I remember playing that game.
I must say that I understand spoken English better and better. Well, I understood everything about taking off your shirt, shaving your nipples and wearing tight pants, but I got lost with that Mongolian aftershave lotion.

Very good. Like everyone else, I thought the laserdisc song alone made it really worthwhile. The 'old cartoon style' flashback was dragged out a little long, but very cleverly implemented. It's the best way yet to hear how much SB's voice has changed since the early toons. I also appreciated the mustached Homestar easter egg with the return of Marzipan. B+.

One big thing, though: This E-mail might be CONSIDERABLY less effective to someone who hasn't seen much else on the site than it would be for us nerdier types on here. As good as it is, I can see casual H*R fans finding it really unfunny.

It almost seems like this email might just be a nod to us nerds on the Wiki who actually know about and have seen Marshmallow's Last Stand.

Maybe TBC wanted to make an email that a select few people would find funny, and we are those people.

Or maybe I'm delusional and they just wanted to reuse graphics they'd already made years ago to save some time. I dunno. Probably wishful thinking.

Eh, I'm in the mood for more toons instead of emails but I still like this anyway. In between good and average is my rating.

you gotta love the old-style animation and stuff
I thought the thing was gonna be on like an old movie reel instead of a laserdisk :D
