What is the deal with so many people hating the 100th email?

Um.. what? Who hates any sbemails? Anyone that does doesn't deserve to watch H*R.

Some people just didn't enjoy it as much as other sbemails.

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that it was hyped to death, and when you hype something to death, it's almost bound to disappoint.

Me, I really enjoyed the 100th email, mostly because at the time I wasn't hanging around any H*R communities, and also because at the time I was in my "I haven't checked Homestar in months" phase. (Thus is the dangers of becoming addicted to high-speed internet: when you get home and have dialup, you don't feel like doing anything because it's SO SLOW.) Therefore, by the time I actually watched the 100th email, any drama surrounding it was long gone. Besides, I really liked all the cameos and the flashback and such. A rather fitting 100th.

Personally, I liked all the Easter Eggs. I think it was just to point out how far they've gone since the original Children's Book. Much better idea then 50 emails.

I, for one, loved the 100th e-mail. It was a nice reference to the days when Homestar Runner was first starting out, what with the "kid's book" design and the cameos of older characters. Plus, it was in widescreen. How can you not love something in widescreen?

But the thing is that they didn't hype it. I knew that they were too much. when I saw it I loved it but then I came on to here and everyone here was disapointed which compleatly changed the way I look at it. And I'm tired of people saying it overrated. Many people hate it how can that be overrated. That part was about what you said at first. This is about the second part.: I'm glad you liked it.

I wasn't saying TBC were the ones hyping it: it was the communities.

I have to say that even us here at the wiki hyped it beyond belief. I thought it was great, but a lot of people here were disapointed by it because it didn't live up to what people wanted it to be.

Maybe if someone told Strong Bad that it was his hundreth email then he would have done a nicer job.

I liked the e-mail a lot, myself. The bit at the end was a very clever way of poking fun at all the hype about what Strong Bad would do.

I don't know. Myself, I preferred 50 emails.

Was anyone expecting them to do something special for 50 emails? I wasn't there so I can't answer that.

It was good, but yes, too overrated by communities and such (I was on homestarrunner.net for a while). I liked 50 e-mails more too..

I think that the easter eggs at the end won it over for me, though I did like 50 e-mails. "Baleeted!"

Personally, I really liked the 100th e-mail. It wasn't the best ever, like a lot of people apparently thought it would be, but it was very good.
