I want to know: does anybody ever spell check before sending an email?

A lot of people nowadays send emails to SB with things purposely mispelled to a) up their chances of getting their email picked (A perfectly written email isn't as funny as one with spelling errors) or b) see how SB will make fun of the error.

Also, welcome to the forum.

With spell check, we would never have Homsar!

Oh wait, maybe he could, since Homestar is not actually a word. Never mind. Still, some typos are just funny, and if there aren't any, then Strong Bad will just make fun of your location.

I'm not giving my last name, but I will say that it's similar to the word "white," so sometimes I put (not white) at the end of my name when I send an email. Not quite sure what he'd do with that, probably start calling me Whitey or something.

My email doesn't have a spellchecka option, but it doesn't need to. I do it automatically. I can't stand to deliberately misspell stuff, or to leave something misspelt.

Any typo I miss correcting is a well-deserved reminder.

Remember SB's CD for spelling and grammar easter egg in local news? He gave example of how certain should be spelled, like "your" and "you're (you are)." Before I send and email, I always proofread it because I want to be careful with my writing skills and not show off any careless mistakes. So is anyone gramatically experienced, but makes capitalization, spelling, and gramatical errors just for the fun of it?

They make the errors purposely when sending mails to Strong Bad. Not in forums and stuff.

I don't check the spelling of words before I send an email, but I do check for typos (especially since my space bar tends to get stuck from time to time, leading to the text looking like this).
I don't misspell words for attention, but I sometimes slip in some awkward and/or weird stuff. (e.g. ending the email with "Keep it reeeeeeaaaal" or "currently painting tomatoes".)
(By the way, you seem to bump a lot of threads, panda. You seem like a nice enough person to me, but you do know you don't have to collect posts to be taken seriously, right? ;))
